Tiger

Manpower: 600
Munition: 0 + Repairs + (optional) Second Repair
Fuel: 550

Doctrine Cost: 3

Pop: 16
Pool: 24

Advantages: High health and big splash.
Disadvantages: Slow speed, accuracy, high resource cost and high pop cost.

Considering the investment, are Tigers still the topnotch or do they remain as a steaming pile of failure which people leave in garrage and take a panther instead?

Discuss.

quite a dissapointment, the unit relies too much on babysitting to be sucessfull, a lone tiger gets raped by almost anything, spends too much time lollygaging around to find a weak point becuase people carry 2-5 atgs in companies and 1 hellcat will ruin your day.

nope. Peshing is faster, has more possible targets and gets pretty much better doc buffs. Plus it gets better accuracy against inf. Tiger has to face atguns with ap rounds plus tankdestroyers with more range and a ratio of 5 tankdestroyers to 2 tigers or worse.

the pershing, you can adapt for the meta alot easier then the tiger can, if the meta is spamming tanks and vehicles which is the recent trend, you can switch out to HVAP and now your pershing can engage any axis armor type with great sucess

If the meta is heavily weighed in spamming infantry, you can get middle t4 and get it to fire howitzer rounds

The tiger on the other hand has no related options so when the meta is to spam bazookas with hellcats or atgs, the tiger cannt really do much about it, the most you can do for the unit is to change what you use to support it.

The tiger is a good unit nevertheless, but its alot less adaptable  to metagame then the pershing.

adaptable or not a it still has to decide wether or not it wants HVAP so in a sense it can only GO AT or AI.

but i see what your saying is the the pershing is more versatile in other areas more so then the tiger.

I have used tiger for 100+ games. I only find it useful when you use 1 tiger double repairs and like 3 p4s with double repairs. Now double tigers is kinda fail because they spend so much time at spawn to repair.

Tiger is OK.

Not great, not bad.

Personally feel it and Pershing should have their range upped to 45 though.

Any time I've used the Tiger I've been totally disappointed.

There's only a very few players that I see use the Tiger and have it be worth it.

It seems to go quite well if you can manage to micro and baby sit it. Either way I found triple panthers to be way better than double tigers and I haven't used tigers since! Though now I can only have 2 panthers =(

Also seems like it really isn't worth the T3? But you couldn't really put it in the T2 now could you?

Might be time for the balance team to sit down and look at the Tiger and ask themself: what does this unit perform like nowadays? A vet 0 tiger without any buffs as a t3 unlock, how is this unit doing today in a battlefield with hellcats and jumbos?

unit should perform okay without buffs. Panther or hellcat without any buffs are good tanks. Now compare it to tiger without buffs. It does jack shit...only time I saw it used to a bit more success on avarage was that time when panzer aces actually gave him double buffs. In like 90% of games you see tiger just fail(and go to spawn to repair with few kills  Roll Eyes )

Gorkhali does have a point. Such a expensive unit does cause loss of a game when it is lost. When I saw Smokaz playing with Tigers I watched him getting beaten by 76mm Shermans.

So yes I agree with Smokaz. Look at the Tiger, think of it for a bit. It is a big fat P4.

Nerf stormies buff Tiger and make it a solid AI as it should be, stormies only 1 thing holds tiger from getting any buffs

I feel like if Smokaz and Shab met up it would be a 50/50 tossup to see which one of them robbed the other first.

Tym is right, Armor Doctrine needs more buffs. Also I think HEAT rounds are too powerful, I mean Tiger splashing 150 is crazy and with more armor pen now StuGs are destroying Shermans and they can scout for themselves too with the topgunner. Yeah also remove Double schrecks they are OP as hell.

I do hope that the devs will look at the Tiger 'cause currently this is what the tiger is:
