Well why do we have balance discussions if no one can actually provide useful information? If u more believe in the balance team, why not close the balance discussion or just authorize the balance discussion only for a certain group of persons? Persons that are long enough on the forum and are known for serious posts?

I'm glad this got some serious discussion around, I think it would mean a lot to the community to have the devs talk about whats going on, where they are hitting snags what seems to be working and so on.

and i think its also important for devs or balance people to step into the ring with the balance posts we have, if we think there is an issue and we just argue amongst ourselves it can get pretty bad. but if a dev comes in and says this is how we plan on changing this unit, or if they say, we dont have an idea yet as to how to change this unit, it's still useful communication.

Regarding balance, Skaffa has stepped in as lead; ill be helping out with the coding to help get caught up on the backlog created by the updated doctrines.

Balance team is focusing their efforts on PE, next patch will be heavily focused on the faction as a whole. With the doctrines in place and someone tweaks to their core gameplay mechanics they should become a competitive faction.

Mind you, this will likely require 2-3 patches to accomplish.

Things have been a bit slow on our end, I've been really busy with work and life which is why Skaffa will be replacing me. Hopefully once we get some of the new changes/content out we will have a more motivated team.

It would be silly to promote the mod in it's current condition. There are too many incomplete or broken items to be advertising to new people. Very bad first impression.

Good point, but we could use the time then to plan for marketing so we could start once the next Balance patches and such come out.

I liked EIRMod's idea of having the community and Devs playing EIRR on Saturday night as an event, it could make for some good games for shoutcasts.

A new shoutcast could work wonders for the mod, hell even I could help with some of the editing, but we would need some of the armchair generals to come back to give us a game worth shoutcasting.

I have some good games. Didnt think anyone would shoutcast them but if you or anyone wants them let me know.

I could make more stratcasts but it isnt really rewarding. Tank y u no put me on payrollolol.

Heres an idea, instead of requesting few rewards for every single thing X you do, throw in some sacrifices. Sacrifice your own precious time for mod you like instead of requiring a carrot to hang in front of your nose to do a thing X or Y

I did. Maps, balance & casts. But if no1 really bothers to show appreciation then why bother... so I say give a reward.

U guys r selfish, this is a great mod, u guys should be thankful for getting to play such a great mod. Everything takes time so be patience, i play this mod as much as i can,but as a family guy with lot of responsibility ,i can't play this mod .like before,but i am still here to support eir mod,and so should u guys as well and be patience guys.

The reason there aren't so many players is not coz of not getting new patch, but the players behaving like dick and mega stacking againt noobs and new players, as tank said u need thick skin to survive in EIR.

I made maps, but none appreciated by most of the community afer putting like 2 to 3 months of work to complete,then i feel like i am just wasting my time,...so i stopped mapping for now. I don't have the time if i want to map anyway.
