Beta invites went out this morning for the beta weekend that starts... sometime in the next hour? Anyway, as more mech games could never hurt is anyone else playing it? Also, there's no NDA, so feel free to /ask/talk about anything  |

MWO plays almost exactly like all of the other MWs. I got into the hawken beta and have yet to try it, but watching the videos it definitely looks way more FPS than MW. |

It's not pay2win, it's pay4convinence... There is a large difference, until they introduce "Premium Ammo/Premium Armor" that argument has little to no ground. And the devs have stated if this does well, they would really like to do another singleplayer campaign. |

Also, for the record? Hawken is, well, so far it's dissapointing... At least compared to mechwarrior since they're both doing the "In cockpit" view, one is more immerse than the other by a large factor and Mechwarrior has by far greater customization from what I've seen so far as well.
It is a lot more FPS than mechwarrior but somehow it's also slower than mechwarrior, for christ sakes, the maps are all really tight and on most there is barely any room to move. Unlike the "Running" mechs in MW:O all mechs feel like bricks on wheels as well... I hope they can fix that, it looked much more fluid in some of the vids.
There aint no option to put an XL engine in your light and run at 142kph... lol
For now, barely feel like playing it and I do love my mech games.

What really puts me off with MWO is that i hardly get any feedback on what damage I did. Sometimes it feels like an eternity till one drops and usually you will get gangbanged even in the middle of your teammates.

Need to learn the weapons then. I know exactly how much damage each weapon that I use does, and what the armor values of the enemy mech models are, approx.
You want to focus fire on either primary weapons locations, or CT (head if you feel pro or it's a Mech with a large cockpit area like the Awesome). If you are getting gang banged it's likely the other team has people on voice comms.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.
