i think i already know the answer to this.
But why is the bar better then the bren?. why is the bren so bad?. Why does the bren have to officers and extra pop to be usefull?.
But name why bars brens or mg34 is good, and why others are not as good?.

They're all kinda bad without buffs, you sacrifice mobility for stopping power but the stopping power just isn't great enough to justify it half of time.
Also the bar doesn't work like the others, it should be left out.

The Bren lacks any real outstanding stat. It's a general DPS boost, and better than going without.
The LMG42 sucks giant elephant dick unless you're standing 2 feet away from the enemy, or unless you have massive lolzofficer buffs/vet/both.
The M1919A6 is the shit. Somehow, this 43 lb monster with a lower rate of fire and clumsier aiming and a ponderous 250 round ammo belt beats the crap out of a 21lb LMG with a conveniant drum magazine and quick reload features.

1917, first off they come on great units, marines, rangers, AB. So right there superior platform makes a huge difference. Also these units will probably have some sort of "in cover +% accuracy" buff with them as well.
gren LMGs are quite crummy, the long range is nice, but they are simply on grens, maybe with officer buffs or elite armor they are a bit better, but still simply not as good as the above.
bren is meh, its on an ok platform like the grens, but you really need an LT buff or accuracy in cover buff to enjoy it. but when you DO have that LT near, they tend to really tear things up... unless they are hans vet 3 falls that are healing -_-

The brens bark is far worse then its bite.
Everything else does ok on its own, the bren is doomed to require an officer for all eternity to reach its potential.

just looked up in rgds. the bren does the least damage of LMGS, and i think has the worse accuracy.

exactly, its just like evrything british they require an lt + captain, or a CCT to reach there potential.
Meaning you have to sink pop into units who are pretty well useless to make the others mediocre at best.

The only exception I'll make to this list is the Panzer Elite Support MG34. Because it's a crazy good suppression platform. You just never see them used since they became rewards.

I rarely see them nowadays.i think caarnus has been the only one i have seen use them in the past 30 days. Yeah officer buffed gren lmgs. my god, they make 2x lmgs look like someone throwing dirt to the wind. |

Sometimes I switch the doctrinal unlocks and I used some 1919A6 on the AB squads. They're pretty cool if you compare them with the low-AI capabilities of vanilla AB squads but they're not as good as the buffed 1919A6 from the infantry doctrine.

You put them in IHT's silly, then your IHT rolls around suppressing like an HMG, but with the DPS to back it up. Hell, the support squad is only 3 pop, so it's a perfect rider squad. |

Those support grens should come back as a regular unit as PE needs them. Just look how hard it is to win as 3 PE vs allies. You have to be crazy aggressive, along with companies that compliment each other to pull it off.
