Well, I ditched the Joystick and Throttle except for Full Realism Battles.

GOD DAMN IT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.

The Revenge of the Buffalo, or my Tier 2 death mobile.

Yea, mouse and keyboard is far superior for Arcade, it's so much easier getting kills.

Bought the Jap's campaign to get 15d of Premium and gold, I recommend it, it's a lot for 12 U$D.

Japanese mid tier fighters are pretty godly, likely the best in the 6-7 tier range methinks.

The bf-109s are my favorite in that tier.

The Mitsubishi Zero is definitely godly when it appears, but there's a lot of planes on its tier that outperform it which isn't very historical. The zero was a beast for the First couple years of its life cycle. And definitely a technical masterpiece. A real pity that Japanese infrastructure couldn't really support development programs with the lack of raw materials.

In war thunder the zero ends up fighting planes which were developed much later on its equal tier, it's kinda inappropriate from a history standpoint but probably required from a balance standpoint.

Well it's not just the zero, it's the tier six KI as well... They're not the fastest nor the best armed, and they have low ammo amounts, but their turning ability, it is NOT what it says on the stat card.

No even tier fighter can keep on a zero/ki's tail as far as I can tell, but more importantly, so far, not a single fighter has been able to lose me when I've used the tier 6-8 Zero/Ki's aside from other Japanese fighters, they're just so manoeuvrable it's insane.

That turn rate only represents horizontal turn speed using the rudder, not banking speed.

Well that's a little dumb and misleading, the full bank turn should probably be what's displayed, it's kinda what counts.

Well the zero almost exclusively fought Wildcats anf theirs really no historic reports of them facing anything else like mustangs, warhawks and spitfires.
The zero was incredibly manouverable but had next to no armor and relatively low ammo.

The British forces in the pacific used supermarine spitfires.

Pretty much every allied plane before 1942 got mauled by the zero.

The zeros downed like 17 spitfires at a loss of 2 Zero's or something crazy like that.

A lack of continued development programs and lacking retention of experienced pilots(poor pilot protection and the hazards of naval combat air combat) certainly didn't help the Japanese cause.

The completely ridiculous range of the Zero isn't modeled very well in war thunder. Aside from fuel time limits there isn't much more use for crazy fuel loadouts(like my shitty Stuka with the extended range tank)

My Junkers isn't bad, But if you want a Bomber go anything but Russians or Germans.

Ideally Pick a plane with a large size base payload(like 250kg and up).

Even though you can change a loadout, you pay for it every time you field it with that loadout.

Junkers have a really good rear gun. It seems to be able to do a lot of damage. A lot more than British ones.

The later german bombers aren't that bad, but the early ones are pretty awful. Stuka dive bombers can be fun up to level 8, especially the one with cannons, or so, then they simply become useless as you will never live past the initial dive.

Yeah the Stuka is a suicide machine. I took mine in Historical Battles got a single run in and tried to get out hard. There were no aircraft spotted by my pilot when I was half way into the run but a spitfire appeared, chased me 6km back to my fleet and was able to shoot me down after about a minute of manouvres. Even while he was taking fire from ground and ship based AAA
