Sega also happen to be the people who published AvP 2010.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

A lot of people seem to be hoping for square enix on this one.

square enix has gone down hill recently, really down hill. I don't want their hands on anything.

To be fair, for COH 2 surely it doesn't matter all too much what publisher takes over Relic. It's only the future projects you have to be worried about.

Going to Sega may mean interesting collaborative work with Creative Assembly on something like Dawn of Total War or a Total War game actually based in WW1/WW2 - though it would be a massive longshot.
One can dream.

I really don't see how a total war modern war game could ever work tbh.

I dunno, combat would be nothing like the slow 'formation' style combat they use in all total war games, would be interesting of course but it'd have to be a really fucking good RTS implementation. (Which of course with Relic's help is not entirely unthinkable) I also don't know if it's something the total war community is really waiting for.

All in all, Sega was likely the best way to go given the options. At least going by their track record as far as I know with CA I'd expect them to do good by a good RTS dev, if anything else. So attempt 2 for a War-hammer:Fantasy RTS with CA behind the wheel this time around? This'll be interesting.
I wonder if the Closed beta that was supposed to start this month for CoH2 is still on track, doesn't look like it but one can hope. Maybe they were just delaying it until after the sale is done and they knew if they'd still have jobs or not?

Surely they knew someone was going to buy them and no be stupid enough to 'cancel' what is essentially an almost finished game. I mean, that's like buying a goldmine and then not digging up the gold.

True enough, but I'd imagine something like this would have you worried no matter how sure you thought you were still needed. No to mention the fact that some companies have a habit of throwing people aside once the games out. Either way... SEGA buying a company named RELIC, there's a joke in here somewhere...

Well the article said that they'd all get new contracts from their new employers, so I'm guessing he can't answer that just quite yet?
