I never said anything about doomsday, everybody knows the asteroid won't hit the earth lol, but it IS possible for a small piece of the asteroid to break off, or for debris to follow in the asteroid's path (not before though)

I never said you said anything about doomsday. Just commenting on some of the general knee-jerk reactions I'm seeing. Theoretically it could have been a piece of the asteroid but I read that it's just coincidence, as the angle of entry of the meteorite was wrong if it was actually debris.
