hmm i guess you're right, but i meant that starcraft and those games would make more sense to have movies made about them.

Well lets take star craft for an example. Blizzard have their finances in order to put it mildly and the Star Craft brand is immensely valuable. Making a Star Craft movie would net a lot of money guaranteed, but in the long run it might actually be detrimental to blizzard. From their point of view, it's probably not even worth the risk.
THQ on the other hand didn't really have a whole lot to lose in their situation.
