Seeing as I'm in an inquisitive mood, what are the proposed changes/ replacements of this unit ?

It's seldom seen these days, shucks I think I'm probably the only player to have fielded one in the last 6months.

Colossus was trying them out a month or two ago after giving up on the AVRE.

They can be OK with a CCT but run into the problem of there being significantly more effective alternatives for the same cost.

Would definitely be interesting to see what proposed changes are in the works.

What honestly needs to be done is to bring back the mk4, Sure it was shitty but it was a cheap slow brick that could act as a shock absorber while still being able to take on the basic infantry that harrassed it.
Mk6 is pretty much the same but instead is more expensive and only getting the 75mm sherm gun for the price increase(the gun is good yes but not worth the cost).

who the hell would want to use Mark 4s? They have 67% penetration vs Ostwinds. They are also inaccurate and the only target they can fight properly is a marder due to 200% damage modifier versus them.

Ahh well then.

That was my understanding why use a slower then Sherman AI tank when you can use the faster then light Cromwell Sherman AI tank.

to be a a shockabsorber for your frontline troops?
Why the fuck would you on the otherhand want a fucking KT?
To put it simple it was a cheap brick at about 400 man and 160 fule that could act as a pushed to decrew MGs without fearing the loss of an expensive unit.

Well they did fix that think quite quickly after royalfaps started abusing it.

Ontop of that it was never in the way, it was a simple t1 unlock stacked besides the AVRE(cant actually remember its placement but oh well) and people could easily choose if they wanted one or not just as much with the AVRE, now its 2 bottom unlocks completly useless unless you really want either one of those units.

Honestly i think the removal of the unit was as stupid as the removal of the assult engies and Assult rifles.

I still use the MK VI and like it quite a bit.

Why? It's a 75mm Sherman gun with Churchill armour and up to 42.5-45 range when combined with a CCT. Spells doom for most infantry and support weapons you get your mitts on. Had one get about 26 inf kills last game I played, was good shit.

The tank works well if you play it creeping advance with support weapons and Tommy's. It falls flat on it's face if you try to use a mobile force. Use a Cromwell if you want to do that.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Why buy a MKVI when you can just buy a Mobile Rapewagon, I mean um, the Bofors HT and get the same or more amount of kills at a fraction of the cost?

Because ones a reward/warmap unit the other is supposed to be a core doctrinal unlock for rse.
There's also the 500 or so hp difference and play style.

Please do something to make this unit actually useful ?

ATM its an utter joke of a unit

its just a wasted unlock in its current state

Why would I pay ( mind you I am) 410mp and 260fu for a unit that is easily overshadowed by a Cromwell costing 370mp and 200fu.

Its hardly a cost effective dmg soak at that price.

DO SOMETHING!

I know it has a carbon copy Sherman 75mm

but pound for pound Sherman always seems far more accurate vs inf (not to mention the extra 2pop for cct)

So you admit it's the exact same thing, yet the sherman "Seems" better?

Think about that for a second, I will also confirm that it is in fact the exact same gun.

well I don't recall what acc buffs shermans get from various doctrines.

But Churchill gets that 10% acc whilst stationary which is quite useless for a slow lumbering tank that's outrun by inf.

but the way I see it is you get a Sherman for 12 pop working at 100% capacity
and you get a Churchill mk6 for 12 pop working at 80% capacity unless you fork out for a CCT for extra 2 pop to get it working at 100% of its potential capacity.

Now the AVRE is a cost efficient anti support weapon, the CROC is a cost efficient anti inf weapon.

And then we have the MK6 who costs almost as much as a CROC, yet is obsolete in the intended role.

OH and don't get me started on the MK6s unshocking shocking tankshock.

Dont be so sceptic about MK. Few guys use them very good and dat unit works fine. Etc mysthalun or ray they provide good support for dat tank and play with it smart so its hella hard kill it. L2tank
