Map: Road to Carentan

Allies:
Wind - AB
Camel - failmandos

vs

Axis:

Dnicee - Blitz
Larslopa - Blitz?

This game was decided on the edge of a razor.

After 40+ agonizing minutes of back and forth bloodshed involving cloaked blobs of storm troopers, blobs of AB and commandos, multiple snipers from both sides and heavy tanks from the axis... it all came down to an excruciatingly close finish.

Near the end, the allies had about 9 or 10 individual men (1 3 man ab squad, 1 2 man ab squad with rrs, a lone brit mg man, a lone LT and a mortar team) on the field and 1 or 2 wounded tetrachs. On the axis side, all that remained were 10 or so storm troopers... all with AT and some mine sweeper squads. What followed was a cat and mouse game where bluffing, deception and stealth were all that kept both sides from wiping the other out.

This game was brutally close and hard fought -- as close as any 2v2 can get.

Notable deaths:
Elefant
Vet 5 p2
Vet 0 p2

Meh actually thought that i retreated the the vet 5 p2... must have failed with the hotkey. Anyways it really felt like it was going to be an easy win. I do not understand how the allies can throw away so many units and still have enough to keep the game going for 40 min.

Conclusion, allies are op!

Thank god that that retarded storm blobing got punished.

I'm not sure why but it happens much more frequently that the allies win with just a bunch of guys while outcapping the opponent. The last game
I played was a 3v3 which we have won due to outcapping, but when the timer ran out all my teammates were anhilated and my last unit was one dude
from a AB-ATG which was bugged in the woods.. .

The funny thing is, you and I both had a teammate who was throwing tons of shit away. I was actually amazed how much you guys had left too at the 30+ minute mark because I had killed so much and you still kept coming. I think I had around 120 kills by the end of the game which is unusual vs two WM blitz players.

Then I realized the reason you guys still had so much left was because Herrpants was not killing much while losing a lot.

Your past few replays have been pretty entertaining Wind, but something has been nagging me...

You've been posting vet unit/notable unit deaths. It removes a bit of the fun of watching the replay as it becomes painfully obvious based on health and engagement when said unit is going to die - Removing any potential tension created by watching a high value unit in a sticky situation.

I'd recommend putting notable unit participation, rather than confirmed deaths.

Just thought I'd point it out from a viewers perspective (And the fact that I watch pretty much every posted replay).

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

It's a fair point, but coincidentally ever since I started doing that the average total downloads of the replays has gone up. Correlation isn't always causation but I know personally I'm more likely to watch a game that I know a high vet/expensive reward unit died in. It raises the stakes and it's interesting to see how a mighty beast met its end.

True, it may link directly to increased views on replays, but I find it disappointing being able to predict with about 95% accuracy how a vetted unit is going to meet its end 2 minutes before it happens. Kinda kills the surprise lol.

For exclusive replays highlighting the death of a coveted EiRR vet unit, like a vetted Maus or Tiger Ace/Super Sherpie and the likes, fair enough. I can see why that'd be a good idea to put as a highlight in the replay lol. The other stuff though?... I'd prefer to see it appear in game, and see if this game happens to be it's (un)lucky day.
