Yeah needs some more splats (and possibly cover; bushes and walls, maybe add some tank wrecks) as it does look quite empty. In favour of moving the houses, and also add a more sunny atmosphere, this one looks so generic

I think adding the buildings will help. It did look a little too 88 happy
[/quote.]it is still open enough for 88,but with the 88 buffed and arty removed its useless to play defensive with 88.
I want the old 88 back.

I don't think it needs more cover tbh. Let me show you what I mean

Do you not see all those open spaces that could use a tank wreck or something on them to stop making crossing all the open spaces/streets less painful to promote a more fluid and less defensive gameplay from both sides?

Just played the map - was a lot of fun.
The only problem with all that cover in the middle is it is gone in the first 5 minutes when it gets crushed by tanks. Then it is just a big open field and impossible to cross.

use the flanks more. They are nicely divided from the middle, easy to set up nice pincer moves. And part of the problem with the cover was you axis players having like 6 panthers...

Don't get me wrong, I am not blaming the map for loosing - like so many people do in EiR....
What made it difficult to flank was, you are essentially at the other players spawn when you get around those buildings on the flank. Try to come out any sooner and you are in the big wide open middle.
I really like the map. I just think adding the buildings as deadbolt is suggesting would really help it.

I feel like if Smokaz and Shab met up it would be a 50/50 tossup to see which one of them robbed the other first.
