I'll play with someone if they want to team up.  Find myself with a little bit more time from work lately. Put in a good couple of days over the holiday.  Current character is decently kitted up right now and I have an extra magnum with some rounds if you are starting fresh.

Yes, the one in the video has less depth, but of course you can add any mod you like to improve it. If you have a large community group you could even have different factions with different goals.

The point is to kill other survivors Alpha, not to beat the AI...

The point of Day Z is to stay alive as long as possible.

How you accomplish this, is entirely at your own discretion.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

The ease of the task is immaterial.

The only fixed, definitive, objective in Day Z is simply do not die.

Everything else is either a means to an end, or for entertainment value.

it would be cool if they had server objectives and you got some reward for it, or your character would level in certain thing's

People are free to create their own individual objectives.

However, this requires a splash of self discipline and willing participants - Both of which is in short supply in the public.

Of course there is an objective. To stay alive, and since the game is finger bleeding difficult it requires a lot of teamwork, coordination and tactics to scavenge for loot, survive the zombie onslaught and other survivors who will kill you for a can of beans. The feeling you get when you finally find a revolver and kill three survivors with it and barely survive a horde of zombies is a lot more fulfilling than seeing +1 level up on world of warcraft. There is no better way to experience the desperate and chaotic decay of society in the post apocalypse.

No sandbox game has a true objective. You are thrown on the field and given toys and tools to do things, have fun.

In DayZ however, you have to find those toys and tools first to do things. Once vehicles comes in, shit will get hilarious.

I make my own objective or goal.

Like when i was playing Dayz with Hicks and Rayze, or objective was to cruise in a sexy Hummer, so we did.

Then we made an objective to go to the airfield, so we did.

Many laughs were had along the journey to our objective, such as having a cripple yell at us.
