Veterancy which is the key feature and element EIRR represents is sort of underperforming and causes undesire in most of the units. Veterancy is focused solely on: Heavy tanks, elite infantry, anti tank guns, artillery. This is just a crude example however, but this is usually where veterancy solely focuses on.

Units such as: Transports, engineer units, light vehicles, medium armor and tank destroyers. They are usually one shot weapons and can cause damage to enemy. Light vehicles are often used to bum rush injured heavy, artillery, or such and usually dies throughout the combat. Lack of health and single repair kit makes vetting these up usually undesireable or simply very hard.

Infantry however has easier time to vet up due to retreat mechanic, even though 2 man squads are very questionable in terms of survival.

Recon, light vehicles, transport: Their veterancy buffs aren't usually worth it and their ability to gain it is difficult.

Tank destroyers: Usually one shot cannons to eliminate enemy heavies, usually one doesn't want to vet them up due to them being able to annihiliate a hard target and they do this task very efficiently.  Some are different that they are worth vetting (Marder, Hellcat, Firefly for instance).

Since veterancy is core mechanic and one of the highest elements EIRR can offer, what are the plans for vetting up the units which aren't...uh useful to vet up?

The key limit Veterancy always had was that it shouldn't fix stupidity and thus most of the veteran buffs are simple Tier 1 buffs with the ultimate one coming usually in tier 3 (namely 20% damage unless it has been changed). Since there is now a unit balance progress going on, what will happen to the veterancy? Will lesser units recieve bigger buffs?  Would light vehicles recieve normally 2 repair kits like transports did? Will transport unit weapons get improved to make them a proper combat unit that actually becomes a real threat? i.e

tl;dr

Lesser unit vet is shit and useless, will they be buffed somehow to become more appealing to vet up, ie performance buffs, survival buffs etc?

For the most part vet 1-3 is useful for it's platforms.

Vet 4-5 is currently unbalanced going from totally useless to extremely useful depending on the unit.

For example the M10 gets 20% less incoming penetration at vet 4 which does, for all intents and purposes, nothing.

We're looking to do a run over vet 4-5 soon and make it more appropriate to the individual units, and we'll check out vet 1-3 whilst we're doing it.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

For units like transports and such which aren't exactly that easy to keep alive unless you never move them to combat- like ever?

How much of a balance problem would it be if unit veterancy levels matched representive doctrine bonus?
i.e vet 1 means tier 1 like buff vet 2 tier 2, vet 3 tier 3 etc?

is it a problem if, for excample, a vet 3 unit can only be killed from a other vet 3 or better unit?

Ain't matter of what counters what. Its why certain unit veterancies are useless considering veterancy is the most appealing selling point of EIRR!
