Isn't much better? You really should have a look at the stats, going from a 100% to a 50% chance to get penetrated by a PzIV is hardly insignificant, while at it how could you call 50% reliable? That's quite literally a coin toss.
hmm 50% less chance of pen or -25% rec acc, its a trouble some choice.

You have to remember that the cromwell does not have phase armor and a rather large hitbox, the cromwell is meant to haul ass away or around targets while the comet isn't, so it wouldn't get as much as LV's or even the Crom would out of that armor type.

Remember that the Comet is a jack of all trades, as discussed before it's going to have some of the same flaws both the Sherman/PzIV and Tiger/Pershing suffer and it seems to me it's right there in between those brackets price and performance wise. In the end I'd say the comet is probably the best jack of all tanks in the game, as it can dominate cheaper mediums like the PzIV yet still penetrate/take potshots at panthers/tigers if you micro well.

It can't dominate medium tanks, you've been playing too much with ablaitive armor. Regular Comets can barely win against a PzIV. It doesn't stand a chance against a Panther or Tiger and will get mauled. The comet is a medium tank, it should have a fuel price around the same level as the Slugger. 450 is the price of a Panther. The lighly armored and fragile Comet can't compete with heavier tanks like that.

Sharks are not monsters Henley, they are cute, cuddly and misunderstood. They love humans. sometimes they love TOO much. They love people so much that sometimes their kisses separate people into two flailing pieces which are consumed by other sharks in a frenzy of peace and joy.

I gotta do it, its bugging me.

The Comet mounted the OQF 77mm HV.
Still a 17pdr.....

It's a 17 Pounder in the same way that a 75mm PzIV gun is a 75mm Panther gun.

When people here say 17 Pounder, they are usually referring to the Firefly or the 17 Pounder ATG. The 77mm performs in a radically different role to the conventional 17 Pounder where it actually has AI capacity and much less penetration when compared to the 17 Pounder.

Just to hammer the point home, the "Real" 77mm also used a different ammunition type from the standard 17 Pounder which used the same projectile but a different case/charge - Which was substandard to the 17 Pounder (But could be fit into a Comet's turret and was still better than the US 76mm).

So yes, you could call it a 17 pounder, but you'd be calling it that for the sake of being "Correct" and you'd be very misleading as to the weapon's actual capabilities.

Which is why I'll happily call it a 77mm.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

To put it blunt and simple - the comet is a sherman with a -18% damage pershing gun.

What exactly is the problem with the tank? At this point I'm going to evoke balance lead powers and only accept stats-based evidence from Pony as to how this is an unacceptable deal. Anything that is not substantiated by facts from this point onwards is to be deleted on sight by the two new moderators that have just been appointed.

Any appeal is to be sent to me directly as a PM, and I will respond to it in due time.
