Hey so I got a question about the way accuracy buffs are written (and other buffs too actually). If a buff is +10% accuracy and original accuracy is 0.5, does this mean new accuracy will be:

1.1*0.5 = .55

or

0.1+0.5 = 0.6

Well, accuarcy is always 1 with a modifier for range isnt it? While I'm not entierly sure of the exact order I think shots are calculated like this, let's take an innacurate Tank Vs Inf for example.

1 * x = c * d = e and so on.

Or 1 * 0.5 = 0.5 (Range)
0.5 * 0.375 =  (Target Table Vs Inf)
0.375 * 1.1 = 0.4125 (Buff)

Or it's...

1 * 1.1 = 1.1 (Buff)
1.1 * 0.5 = 0.55  (Range)
0.55 * 0.75 = 0.4125 (Target Table Vs Inf)

Buffs also grow exponentially, for example it's not...

125 * 1.25, 125 * 1.25, 125 * 1.25 = 218.75
But it's
125 * 1.25 = 156 * 1.25 = 195 * 1.25 = 244 (decimales removed for sanitys sake)
Leading to a higher value, so gotta be careful about stacking buffs sometimes.

The exponential growth btw is why vet 4 tommies/officers are nigh immortal, over 140 effective hp vs small arms Wink

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

Reading above I want to bash my face into the wall tbh, I hate maths so I have no idea why I started doing RGD's.

By the way regarding 0.1+0.5 = 0.6, that could actually be used if we wanted to. I'm sure we have no such buffs regarding acc or damage however.

You can see "Usage_Type" listed on the properties to the right there, that'll tell you if it's a multiplier or an addative

Definitely wouldn't want to, too many interactions resulting in certain aspects getting more value out of it; something which can't be balanced (EG adding accuracy makes Airborne armour that's moving less of a % upgrade, long range accuracy gets a larger % bonus than short range accuracy, moving accuracy gets a larger % bonus than stationary accuracy, tanks with low infantry accuracy get more of a % bonus than tanks with high infantry accuracy - basically lessening the weaknesses while hardly improving the strengths, which also messes with certain match ups, and messes with cost effectiveness).
IF... Not that we will... sheesh.
