rename the betamap.sga to betamap1.sga

destination folder for betamap1.sga: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\EuropeInRuins\Archives

0.96
download link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8hwSowWubWWUXlDOVQ0ZWltNzA
alternative dl. link1: http://www.gamefront.com/files/25166819/RtoA096.zip (remember to extract .sga from .zip)
alternative dl. link2: https://www.sendspace.com/file/ia1yiu

Second map from me. Totally built from scratch like the first one (except the heavily modified manor and its yard from route N13). Tried to make this one more eir style map. Most likely and hopefully I won't be building maps from the scratch any more (coz it really saves time and nerves).
-Totally 29 sectors (starting/base sectors included)
-Playable area 416x416
-Like La Touques, rough mirror map (sorry I can't help myself)

It's at beta stage so grass, splats, spline placements, map loading&territory pics and other gameplay irrelevant stuff will be added when it's trough testing.

All pictures of 0.96: http://imgur.com/a/Matxu (includes old sectoring pic, new below)

For first I was worried of adding too many sectors for it, but when I was done with sectoring I must say I agree with you bolt. Might add 1-3 sectors to each half of the map (totally 2-6).
Northern forest & manor sectors are the biggest ones so should maybe start from dividing those to smaller sectors. Could also divide vertically southern field sectors or/and center village sectors (displayed neutral in the pic). It really depends on that where I want to pursue the fight to go on.
Just needs some testing now!

Does anybody remember how to betamap testing procedure works? Name the file as "betamap.sga" and put it into C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\EuropeInRuins\Archives ?
Tried that location and also C:\Users\Me\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\ww2\scenarios but couldnt make the map visible at the map list while launching eir manually. It shows in the vcoh or other mods tho.

Just as an FYI, maps such as schijndel suffer from massive sectors, as they allow you to own a good 40% of the map and still lose on cap due to the massive sectors kicking you in the ass. If your opponent has your infantry off field for more than 20 seconds or so in one of your forward sectors and then caps one? You usually get fucked for cap unless you can make a big territory grabbing come-back. Usually though, you just get bled to death on your own side of the map even though the fight is going fairly evenly, and then you can't even back cap properly as it's piss easy to hold massive flank sectors.

I can see those northern sectors that you've got being especially punishing.

Generally speaking you want lots of sectors, and you want them all throughout the map, not just around the centre or perceived main engagement area. Backcapping is something that should take a little time and be a pain (But be worth it), not throw one man to the flank and have an entire 1/8th of the land on the map under your control.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Sectors increased from 19 to 33. Map file links updated.
edit: Actually might have given south side too many sectors compared to center and north. Should maybe merge 6 southern field sectors to two bigger sectors which would reduce total sector amount to 29. Will probably change later.

That's looking better. Just need to get it some field testing as a map now.

Still stuck with this. I tried to launch it trough launcher now aswell. Didn't have problems last summer testing La Touques, but I can't remember anymore what were the exact procedures for betamap testing.
edit: Okay Gray knew, it's supposed to be named as betamap1.sga.
