Lets have another marathon at 4:00 pm pacific time zone. So those who couldn't get into that one can get into this one.
I will take canada.
Salan has Canada. I tried playing Canada. It is very very very hard. (because it takes such a long time to build up a reasonable army/navy/RCAF.) And the Prime Minister was a chronic masterbater....

So what about 5 AM PST which would be 6 PM GMT? If thats good time for euros ill make a thread right after the game.
Surely you don't mean 5am, thats about 1 pm gmt isn't it?
I would suggest a start time of around 5pm gmt (is that 12 est and 10 pst?)

Hope you guys have fun anyway and crush the facist pigs!

I woud prefer if we run the one today as planed, but reload on the next saturday, not sunday.
Also question;
Can i unload my units that are on ships onto beaches controoled by the enemy? And since i seem unable to do so; How can I clear enemy units out completly?
Yea, I would prefer a game on Saturday. Also, I'd prefer if we use Doomsday and Armageddon. You can get both of those off a torrent.
Yes, you can order an ambitious assault on enemy beaches with any kind of infantry aside from garrisons
if
there are no enemy vessels in the area. If there are, your transports will be under fire and ultimately destroyed. I don't recommend using Marines to land on Normandy. It's not worth it, not enough to justify the cost of building them. Marines will do very nicely in the Pacific however due to the large amount of landings you'll have to make.

I play again under the following "condins"
-Newb fixes his crashing
-Well play at normal or above normal speed. Not "realtimeslow".
-Acceptable Euro time
Very disapointing, but great potential...

Yep, but i kinda decleared war on the philipines.
See i checked the countrys around me (right click, diplo, delcear war.) Then it shows a video what will happen if i declear war. For nearly evry country it said; The allys usa, canada, and all the others will help this country.
However for philipnes there was nothing.
Also why care if you can just switch sides anyway aya? Like you did ....
I am just annoyed by all the wasted time. Watching grass grow might be more action.

Well, it was more of a practice round.
Every person was at war except for me. Funny thing is, I could sustain myself too, while constructing a military, and researching at full tilt.
Anywho, try again next weekend, and unless we do it Sunday evening, I won't be there, I'll be in Boston.
As for Salan, he'll be in Vegas that weekend. Perhaps we could give it a shot this week.
May I suggest tomorrow or Tuesday?

We don't really need you Thtb, so that's alright.
Anyone who wants to play in the future, understand what you're getting in to. This is a long-term strategy game, not Company of Heroes.
aka : It can be boring when you're not at war, but you need to have patience.

I didnt have to go. Phillipines is a puppet nation of the United States, when you attacked them it brought me (USA) into the war. Since Japan was allied with Germany and Italy. It basically meant in early 1939 the USA already was at war with Japan, Germany and Italy.
I then also had the option to join the Allied team with all the allies (UK, Canada, France, Poland etc.). Which I did, which meant in early 1939 The entire world was already against Japan, Germany and Italy.
The Axis cant let the United States into the war that early. I have huge production capabilities and can mobalize an army quickly. When newbie dropped I already had an Navy with 3 infantry and an armored division heading to land in Africa. This is not good for the axis when its only 1939 and the USA is already landing in africa.
This game requires patience, it is a diplomatic game as well as a military game. There wont be action constantly and definatly not from the very beginning.
Were going to start a new fresh game next week. However there will be more rules. Im editing the original post with the times and players for the next game.
This game didnt go as bad is it seems from the posts here. One person just got impatiant and wanted war right away. Right up until that point it was actually pretty fun, even for me as the USA. I got all my production set up and my trade agreemants running smooth. Was sending resources to France to help them build up etc. Its a really fun game and hopefully next week we can get started on a good campaign.

Since you're starting a new game, I'd like to join as Japan. As of right now, I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to play on sunday, but I'll let you guys know beforehand if I can't.
