Yeah it kinda breaks my "I dont spend money for games on a periodically returning time, since it woud make me feel bad when i didnt play it to the max / waste my money" - Rule.
If i get acces to the beta and if it is the best game ever i coud give it a try.

I do agree, but i will have too buy it. Too me it seems like a great game, and besides it is Norwegian so therefore i am basically forced to buy it out of support for the industry  |

My personal opinion is Conan is not a great game, i played it on beta and wont preorder or order in the following months at least for all it matters.

MasonDon chill I wanted that game too, but frankly its not what advertisment promishes, and after the initial excitement of a so-called inovative combat system and "mixed cool new classes" theres not much to say. Sure the graphics are nice, but they dont make a game for me. Its content that matters and game performance. Sieges never got in to beta testing and border kingdoms as well. And thats like a HUGE part in terms of pvp of what they sell as Conan. Also they kept release of directx 10 for release. Thats just some reasons im not buying. Hey anthony, can you tell us what its like on - performance issues as long as and gameplay ? What is lacking and what is not ? There was huge instability of the servers for many people and the fact that a lot of stuff didnt get and tested into beta makes me sceptical. |

25 GB install??!?!?!??!?!? Dude, it's bigger than crysis and it doesn't even LOOK AS GOOD as crysis! I'm still buying it when it comes out, though! I just wish it was out today...come sout on the 20th right? First thing I'll make is a soldier with a SAW and a scope! Oh wait this is conan...  . Rhino character with a bazooka? |

I give this game a 9/10 in my book and its a lot more fun to play than wow.
Performance is awsome, i running the game on max settings fine with a 8800 GT 512mb with 3g of ram.
The PvP fights are awsome. The combat really is unique with combos and fatalities, as well as taking advantage of weak spots in your enemies armor. You can chop peoples heads and arms off with the fatalities. Im lvl 26 now so I havent seen end game yet but early game so far is much better than wow.
Server stability has been very impressive for launch day. There have only been 2 server crashes in the two days ive been playing.
Assuming the end game plays out good this game right now has the ability to beat wow. Maybe not in subs but definatly a much better overall game.
Also the graphics are amazing.
If you have not tried this game, I suggest you pick it up on the 20th and atleast give it a try. Im sure you will be impressed.
When you play join the Doomsayer server. Its a PvP FFA server but as salan said we have a good bunch of guys were playing with. Been leveling and pvping with them and they are good peoples.

Just picked up this game, however Doomsayer server is not on my list of servers, r u playing US version or European, or does the thing shut full servers down for new entrants or sumthin..

I tried the beta three weeks ago, never got it to run, it would freeze my computer completely every time I tried to run the game. Couldn't find any beta forums either, I don't know if other people were having my problem, or if there was a fix, kind of disappointing, because I'd like to buy the game but not if it freezes my computer where I can't even play it.

Retail is much more stable. Still waiting for my account to register so I can play... The install is closer to 34gig btw.  And yes, the stupid bastards have disabled the ability to play on servers outside your domain... so no usa<>Euro playing. load of shit imo, and they best sort it out asap. |
