Sweet, finally a Blizzard game without the "bright and pretty colors" that they have been using for their games. (WC3, SC2, WoW) Quite frankly, I'm glad Blizzard is going back to something gloomy and dark. Really helps with the mood when the characters don't have brightly colored capes.

I think the reason for WoW, was to give something that not only would make tons of money, but was so simple yet addicting that it would appeal to many many gamers out there and they succeeded with that. But thankfully they finally moved onto SC3 and DIII. My favorite thing about them releasing info on DIII was that I heard NOTHING about DIII until a few weeks ago, and they are already showing off a 20 minute game play vid, which shows that nothing is leaked from blizzard, sure we all had our suspicions that it was being made, but being able to announce they are working on a game and being able to show off so much of it is awesome.

Blizzard is just the most successful company in the sector.
The make the best games.
Some may dislike them, but Diablo basically created a new gameplay.
And they still last.
Look at Epyx, or Westwood.

I've never really played starcraft myself, but I always respected it. I used to watch my friend play back when RTSs just seemed way too complicated, it looked fun but I was just like, how is he managing all these things at once?!

Every single god damn thread in this forum gets derailed. It's like, impossible for you people to keep it in line.

If you go the the main website there is a 20 minute gameplay video that goes through gear, traps, how you can use the world to your advantage, and playing with the Barbarian and Witchdoctor. God, the physics added to the game make it look so awesome.

yup, but apperently some kids made a petition against Diablo III, even after making a petition FOR Diablo III, simply because it looks too cartoonish and too much like WoW, and it has too many bright colors. Cracks me up but yeah, no matter how hard u try, u will never satisfy everyone... unless its Diablo I

It doesn't look THAT cartoonish TBH. As long as it doesn't look like SC2/WC3.

I don't get it, looking too cartoonish? I mean DIII just looks like an updated version of DII. The scenery and creatures don't look much different then the ones in DII. In fact they are even fighting the same creatures from mount arriet (or however you spell it) those berzerker guys.

mhm but it does look more... "cartoonish" then it was in D2. by cartoonish, i mean... basicly the difference from Lineage 2 and WoW. One looks fairly more "realistic" even tho you still see orcs or w/e running around and people using magic.

also, some are angered by the "glowy" or "shinny" environment since it is VERY different from D1 and D2 which were very very dark and.. to an extent... gothic. But i bet if they could add this environment into Diablo 1 back then, i bet they would. Now that graphics and technology has improved so much, they can add what they really wanted to add back then.
