I have to say a lot of the things I read about DoW 2 recently sound disappointing. They're trying to go a new way with it, but from the sound of it it sucks.

1. You have no more base building and unit production, but a fixed amount of squads

2. You can upgrade these squads (e.g. put a point into health value)

3. Your squads get abilites, like Taunt (draws all nearby enemies upon you)

4. Your squad leaders can pickup items which killed enemies drop (medpack)

5. Fallen soldiers get revived at shrine

Yes I know, graphics look awesome, but I don't understand what they are doing to the gameplay. If they keep it like this, DoW2 will go heavily into the RPG element. Which is cool by itself, but all the features I heard so far sound neither very original nor entertaining.
Somehow I hope they dont keep it like this.

Important for me is if they go deeper into the stratigical area and maybe improving things like Cover and Moral System.

I actually like the RPG/FTS element, It adds a new level of gameplay which could become very exciting.

It sounds much more interesting than just another base building RTS.

Eldar =  gay.  I never was much for the effeminate bunch of males in what appears to be tight suits and with high pitched voices who shoot little laser beams from their stick-shaped weapons.  Imperium all the way - IG, Marines or nothing!

By the way - base building sucks. It's a useless waste of time that detracts from real game-play and is the source of a lot of stupid micro-macro conflicts.

Plus in tabletop you don't build a base........ however, IIRC relic said that CoH was going to remove base building too, or at least minimize it a lot - it never did.

Coud someone please provide Videos Showing off the gameplay Wink ?

See i woud hope for something as effectfull, tactical and deep as FoW, but as simple to use (but hard to master) as vCoH and just as smooth to controle.
