I'm assuming that the T17 is a Greyhound and the Staghound is either a Puma or PE scout/armored car?

Staghound is the replacement for the stuart.

I don't get it the staghound IS a T17, just a variation, and both were only in british hands. So I'm going to assume that possibly the wagon is a kettengrad replacement for the PE and as akra said, T17 staghound will replace the stuart.

if i know ANY booster packs, the new units will be slightly better than the others at first. nothing noticeable really, just a somewhat stronger force. Then over a series of 2 patches, they would either be
A) Ninja-buffed to be exceptionally strong, rewarding the people shelling out money for them and completely unbalancing the game,
B)Be openly nerfed to oblivion because of complaints and be next to useless, therefore screwing over people who already bought them.

Or people won't buy them at all. Battlefield 2142's Northern Strike "booster pack" comes to mind. As well as Battlefield 2's "Armored Fury" and whatever the hell the name was of the other one.

Well it certainly looks like a replacement for the greyhound though I'm pretty sure the US didn't use any of these in battle. I don't know how sandbags would be better then side skirts though  Cheesy

Nah Salan only knows more about the next expansion. From what I've heard this has little to do with it, it's just a nice new feature (DLC - Downloadable content)

Sandbags absorb small arms fire very well, there a cushion.  There also replaceable with little effort and cost, while skirts are one time protection.  Also I believe these were fitted with thicker armor from the get go.

the tiger ace game looks really cool, its a downloadable content that will feature the player playing 1 unit through the villers bocage area, wittman.

its supposably going to have Co-op and potentially have functions lead into the general game.

the specificness of it is simple, think faces of war.  they made it where you can take control of the tank, lead it with your arrow keys, aim its gun with you mouse.

you level up the tank like you would a doctrine tree, you gain abilities and functionality.

I suspect there might be more units able to be controlled in the game rather then 1 , but when i was at relic open house I only ever saw them using the tiger ace for their demonstration and no other 'friendly' units.

I am not a fan of 1 player games, but this one I would seriously have to look into getting.

yes i did see them play this game.. (as its released now we can finally talk about it , yay?)

There's some people on Gr.org who claim to know more about the next expansion but can't talk yet =), and they're known players so I'm pretty sure they're telling the truth. Can't wait to see more.

company of heroes 2 better have russians and italians in it or I'm not buying!

j/k...just mirroring some n00bz I know

but I do want to see the Russians and Italians or at least some fighting in Italy and Sicily.

How's this for a title - Company of Heroes 2: The Second Front

and then the Expansion CoH 2: The Italian Front

lol

if i know ANY booster packs, the new units will be slightly better than the others at first. nothing noticeable really, just a somewhat stronger force.

Bf2: european something...waste of my money Sad. armored fury a lot of people bought, as well as special forces but i aint toughin northern strike.

Screw new factions. Why do people insist in getting new factions?

The japanese are not viable, because they feel out of place. It was mostly an American conflict. Sure, the ruskies, the chinese and australians fought em, but it just doesn't fit.

Italians would just be sad hybrids, and making yet another german sub-faction(Afrika Corps?) would have players screaming all over.

I think it would be best if they just stuck to the same formula, NO MORE than four factions, tweak the to death and add new gameplay features, such as maps and game modes.

If you keep adding stuff to this game, it will end up like DoW, a lot of stuff that confuses everyone, all unbalanced.

That's just because Special Forces came in a box. The others were ONLINE DOWNLOADS ONLY FROM EA PROVIDED BY EA BECAUSE OF EA'S AWESOME SERVER PWNING L33TNESS! EA!!

So no one got them.

lmao yeah because people still tend to be leary of buying things online.

and to the guy above you, i'm with u, dont want too many new factions, but I wouldn't company of heroes 2 being the japanese part of the war, they did say that there'd be ships in the next one anyway right?

True, I think after everyone bought special forces and realized that EA purposely withheld weapons and features (such as night vision) from BF2 just so they could make more money on expansions, every one said "fuck you" to EA and said "im not buying into your bull crap expansions that should simply be free updates." at least me and my friends did. Why pay for all that bull shit when mods were putting that stuff in for free? Do you want a shitty EA modeled and textures A-10 that simply functions exactly like all the other planes in the game? Or do you want an A-10 from a mod like, oh say Project Reality that looks exactly like a real A-10 and is just as frightening in game as in real life?

Either way, being able to control a single unit sounds really cool, especially if it's wittmans tiger =D
