O wait... there are already like 10 channels for People how play Railroad,  another 6 channels for TLS, in the middle of vent of course, because they get used that much, A dev channle constantly filled by mods playing something else, a channle for chaos, 2 HQ´s and of course the completly Unneeded "unreg. Users".

I think THTB wants them removed because of jealousy? I've no idea. I haven't made any new channels except once, because people were annoying the people trying to play Rome, and I promptly deleted it afterwords. I've also registered quite a few users.

not really, its a protective mechanism that was proven to be needed.

If people want to throw a fit they can't damage the ventrilo or crash it anymore because of that setup.

It's not needed and it's only been proven to be a hassle.
AMPM was the only individual to abuse the system, no one in over 1.5 years of EIR history has done the same...

Some users sit around for hours trying to get registered and are unabled to do anything in the meantime. This is a severe problem as it ultimately scares away some newer players. This measure is no longer required, if it wasn't for AMPM we would've never had it in the first place.


Get rid of it or stay online 24/7 so you can register every new player that comes online .


P.S I agree there should be some cutting in the amount of channels currently floating around. The amount of vent mods is fine, they've all proven to be capable and responsible, we generally have a decent timezone coverage.
There should be more forum moderators though .

Yes, sometimes I'm the only accessable mod as the others tend to go circle jerk in the Train Depot channel. Leaving them to PM me, and I'm usually in game, and don't get back to them in quite a long time.

This is very uncommon as we have a password.
We should at least allow guests to join every channel, make it so that they need to register in order to be able to talk. Problem solved.

Yet this system was only implemented when AMPM pulled his farce, my point still stands. If AMPM hadn't gone ahead and fucked the vent we would've never had this system anyway.
