I seriously can't believe we don't have a thread open about this game.

This is probably one of the most tense games I've played in a long time. I'd dare say that it's more tense than winning a battle of EiR 3v1 with one a Sherman left. Even when the team loses, it's not so much a angry and bitter defeat, it's actually a barrel of laughs at how we all managed to die.

Some of the highlights from the games I've played thus far: both good and bad.

- Final level of No Mercy, the chopper has arrive and I'm sitting on it waiting for one of my team mates to hurry his ass up. Suddenly a Tank leaps on the heliport and charges me. I have no where to go as I am sitting in the chopper, so he runs up and punches me right out the other side of the chopper. It was so random that I just laughed it off.

- Final level of death toll, and another tank instance. The boat had arrived and I was the only one left, so I made a dash for it with 15hp. Limping I made it onto the docks, suddenly out of no where; as a rock smashes into me, killing me mere centre meters away from the boat.

- Final level of dead Air, we were rushing to the plane when 2 of my team mates went down; one screamed over the comms to help him, but he was further away than the closer one and with a horde coming to get me I had to make the choice. So I bolted to the closest team mate who was saying to just go and win the game. Me in true movie hero fashion said "I can't leave you to die!" and got her back to his feet where we both made it to the plane and escape. During the cut scene we had a good movie style conversation that just fitted the ending so well.

 "You shouldn't have come back to me" - Her
 "Babe, I couldn't leave you to die. You know that" - Me
 "Hold me" - Her

The two dead survivours just laughed their heads off after that. I so wished I had frapsed it.

So if you've played the game, I would love to here about awesome moments such as the above and what you think of this great game.

Reason why there wasn't a thread about it here is because there's one over at the OMG forums.
Lot of community people have it AFAIK, including myself. It's an awesome game indeed.

Can't really play on international servers though, lag's too bad .

@ Draken; Before you get all angsty with me for a minor thing. I asked 5 different people on a IM lists if the link worked, and they tested it over 3 different browsers. So before you get on your high horse and scream oppression, how about you just trust my judgement.

See I woud buy it if this happens;

-Other online system that works faster and does not put you on super laggy servers
-More weapons (yes i know they want to patch that in.,.... ssssssuuuuuuuuurrrrrrreeeeee)
-Higher amount of Max players, also allowing extra Surivors
-Release SDK
-Easly to config. Server Settings in many details that you can currently only reach per console.

Use server browser or wait for some patches, they're working on it. It's not *that* bad but I agree there's room for improvement.

-More weapons (yes i know they want to patch that in.,.... ssssssuuuuuuuuurrrrrrreeeeee)

That being said, there's plenty of people who have it, it's tons of fun and there'll be an update coming soon.

I play it with a bunch of friends of mine.

Its pretty god damned fun.

One game, we're making a run for the boat at the end of the campaign, just me and one other survivor left. There is a swarm of zombies and a Tank on our ass but nobody sees the Smoker. We're running down the dock, both wounded and he's right behind me, suddenly the Smoker's tongue lashes out and grabs him around the throat, and starts pulling him into the waiting horde. There was nothing I could do about it, so I jumped into the boat, then using my trusty rifle, put a round in his head to keep them from eating him alive. It was very much a movie moment.

(we play on advanced and expert only, death is pretty fast)

The DLC is coming soon and valve released some updates + videos on its content.

I for one think the survival mode will be great fun, can't wait to try it.
In addition the SDK will surely bring the much needed community content.
