I say place a poll in the main section with multiple choices so people can elect the 'best' maps

It's called the 'most games played per map' list tbh :p
Most popular =/= best but that doesn't matter, you can have the best map but still not have anyone play games on it .

nah. this pack is mostly for newbs, not us. I dont care what you guys feel towards the pack lol. I'm just trying to make things easier for the influx of all the new guys we've got coming in.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

And I'm saying that for the european new players this is a huge download limit sink.

All we need is a 'popular' mappack with the maps that get played at least occasionally.

Based mainly on fl-'s list

Crossroads
Road to Carentan
Bastion
Abbeville
Abbeville Winter
Radar Station
St. Come du Mont
Nuenen
Lanteville
Tanteville
Dawn
Ardenne Valley
St. Lambert
St. Winn
Vierville (?)

That imo would be a mappack made out of win.
BTW good job, I'll try to integrate your work in the map database sooner or later :p.

Also, we need someone to re-upload the final mappack.

Airfield is a lot better and fun than vierville (which im telling you unk, if you make it 3v3, basically bigger and more importantly open, instead of a massed row of buildings, it will be actually pretty good)

Also how about including some maps that other members of the community made recently other than spartans of course.

P.S Westfalen would so much rock, if werent for the sector layout.
Argentan needs some love too.

I request from every EiR player to download all of these mappacks. I cant see RTC and Abbe anymore and I hate fucking around with map dls before every single game. Do it now.

Seriously add maps to EiR Installer or something, add skinpack to it also.

Indeed, this will help avoiding problems at the beginning...

i would go with them getting outdated fast, and to big of an installer.

part of why eir is easier to use is that it is a small download.

having an autoupdater for the maps themselves would be ideal ... seperate from the actual install of the game ... no?

i dont think having the maps be installed automatically would be such a bad thing, make it so everyone always has maps no matter what.

ok, took all maps that weren't in module out and made the 6 player pack into splits so you can have 2 smaller 60 mb downloads instead of one big 120 mb.

and yes i checked for virus and spyware, all clean.

If you could also create a final mappack for people to download, that'd be nice.
(just final maps)

Will link to this in the DB and unsticky soon. Just keep my posted on updates from then on. All credit for mappacks will go to you.
