2v2 on Nuenen.
# 13848

34th Airborne (iherduliekmudkips) and 24th Infantry (WereDog)
718th Blitzkrieg (HeartBreakOne88) and 478th Blitzkrieg (radimisko)

My ally is a total noob, who refuses to bring his at gun out of the deployment area to combat an early StuH because "they are looking for it".  At that point I decide it's game over, may as well just get to the end and see how hilariously bad it can get.  I don't mean that maliciously, everyone has to suck it up and play with beginners, but it's basically a 1v2 now from my point of view, given than my ally won't bring up his Rangers because, again, "they are looking for them".  The Axis players, meanwhile, have decided to play with Storm Troopers and unleashed the Nazi Stealth Army on us.  I'm Airborne with AB elite and about 20 squads of, well, Airborne. Cheesy  Death from above vs death from behind!

And it gets even weirder towards the end as my ally reveals a terrible secret...

All in all, it was a silly game.

I just saw how a stuh bounced off 3 shots from an m10 barely taking any damage  Shocked

btw I didn't realize until end of game that he was doing it.  I was concentrating on playing and thought he was just noob-babbling.  The "lol" there was at him leaving his AT gun back at deployment zone.

I couldn´t get to end of it, radimisko failure at microing stormies and WereDog incapacity to micro only 1 unit in the whole map was too much for me, and his belief that the cia was watching his actions the entire game :/.

It was more amazing that he simply refused to fight.  At one point he retreats an entire squad of rangers with SMG's because a Volks squad comes after them.  After that he refuses to fight with a badly wounded Panther because it's "out to get him" or something.  Sent you PM btw.

Apart from Road to Carentan, I think Nuenen makes the more sensible alternative if they do not want to focus on "City Fighting" like in Cross Roads.

There isn't much 2v2s out there which requires abit of downloading with 'familiar' styles of playing.

Maybe you can rework the city slightly to allow a more cohesive fighting, than a 'two front' fighting. As it is People usually double team one side of the map to gain an advantage.

No its not necessary to sneak a pak and several storm trooper squads behind to kill their calliope if the game is already over.

Hey you make the map, i liek the village, its open enough to have [roper street fights but closed off enough to make iut difficult for tanks, and yes that was a magic stuh take 3-4 shots off an m10 and barely scratch the paint work

I'm thinking of moving everything on the left just a notch closer to the middle so that the map feels 'smaller' and players won't have such a psychological tendency to always double on the town.

Anyway, got a new version laying around with lots of fixes, will release that asap Tongue.

Heightmap is not always good. Look at Crossroads - heightmap fucks it up beyond playability with balistic weaponry and airborne off-maps.
Radar Station lower side - the heightmap makes sure you're gonna have troubles recrewing paks, not mentioning fighting or microing.

I love those heightmaps Cheesy, it can really make tanks have a hard time to hit their targets :p.

I didnt have a good experience with the map. Too open and flat, allows for rushing of armor too easily and the pak guns get over run a bit too easily. But the town is goo.d
