Hey.

Everyone here knows the snipers of Hans and Boogyman (I dunno what you guys call US sniper but I call him Dave). Anyway I was wondering about these two snipers. In VCoH the Boogyman is rather devestating since it can run all the time and vet 3 Axis sniper doesn't seem to have much difference from vet 0 Sniper...at least I haven't noticed any difference.

*cough*

Anyway. I was wondering about the price between these two snipers. Axis sniper is pretty decent in cost I guess...

520 MP and 130 Mun.

NOW that is a hell huge price for Sniper hans but his a top gun vs Machineguns (I don't say AT guns because he has bad habit of getting countersniped by them and that is like...46% of the time a rough thought)

Sniper Dave.

580 MP and 225 Mun cost in normal. Hell huge improvement in cost but I suppose it is in balance (4 men squad vs 6). Anyway, now I was wondering. Despite the cheaper mun cost Snipers get at one tier 3 infantry which only drops mun cost down to around 168. I was wondering.

Why Sniper Hans sucks? =(
- He misses fair more often than Ally Sniper...
- He gets counter sniped by an AT Gun...
- He shoots over the Chaetau when
- He gets over run by jeep spam made by Armored players and those jeeps can't just die even if you  have a PAK if those things are armored...
- MG42s will support from infantry rushes but sadly fire up gets Hans.
- Hans has a bad habit of blowing to pieces by the first Howizer round that hits on ground, was it offmap or on-map...
- Hans has bad luck hitting US Sniper...did he have vet or not =(
- Hans in vet 3 will die to 1 lucky Bazooka shot -Insert Video from Youtube 'How to lose vet 3 sniper'-

I'm not asking balances or anything. I was wondering, would Hans get some sort of minor buff in somewhere? D: Or should he have just gone to luftwaffen since he constantly says that he could have been a luftwaffen ace.

Little Discussion between these two Sniper classes. Hunter Hans from Farmland and Sniper Dave from a Gangster Bar from chicago xD

He should've been a luftwaffe ace Wink.

EIR has a tradition not to touch basic vCOH stats, so with that being said, I doubt there will be any buffs for sniper Hans.
EIR does have custom veterancy however, and Hans becomes quite good with his veterancy, particularly the health regen is very useful for his overall survivability.

also your pricing is wrong, the american sniper actually costs:  580 mp, 300 ammo.  and I believe the axis is close to it.

Yesh the price came wrong because of this laptops huge bright screen that I dislike my orginal screen said its contraction out.

Anyway...Allies can get their Sniper cheaper in Tier 4... Yes I'm aware its tier 4...but...cheaper...
Allies Sniper is cheaper than Axis one...in cost of Mun and but NOT In cost of MP...
Why is it that way? WHy beloved Ally better sniper is cheaper than worthless sniper hans? =(

allies infantry get their sniper cheaper in a t2 ammo reduction and a t3 manpower reduction.

axis terror players can get a manpower discount at t1.

you also know that the american sniper doesn't get a movement buff in eir right?
it does have a incoming accuracy modifier which makes it win a lot more sniper duels though.

the axis sniper does get a reduced shot timer at vet 3, i believe 25%

Tier 2 called German Will 11% Discount on Manpower

I know that all the movement penalties has been taken away...but I still think Allies Sniper more useful. We are talking about 4 man squads. One sniper shot and squad loses potential fighting power (Unless they have ZEAL) and usually retreating squads are often sniped to death (if one man left especially if a vet 3 gren squad or any vet squad) =(

Ranger, in my experience, your point by point list is almost the completely opposite.  I've had two sniper starts pretty much kill off my entire infantry company on more than one occasion.  Sure I'm still new at this but if Hans has any backup at all, he'll kill anything on the map.

If you want a better axis sniper, Go terror, heavy support.  And your sniper will shoot and see further than any daves you encounter.

Defensive Omnisence sniper is quite nice too. Default range but he can see farther than he can shoot. Makes it easier to keep alive cause you can see any ambushes. Also, any bikes you get have uberwtfpwn vision and 2x stealth detection. Usually I tack on a officer to my sniper and enjoy the 35% accuracy and damage bonus

yes, so sniper hans has his benefits from being on axis and dave his. If you really look at it, Hans has more buffs from doctrine abilities and such to be great than Dave because there are no unit buffs for infantry on the allied side other than airborne elite, and raid assault (not counting TR since at guns are support weapons) yet, the axis get lots of buffs for their infantry and also you have clickabale powers which can make snipers uber. It's all on how you use it.

Guys if you cut out every tier ability both sides gets it doesn't change the fact that Axis sniper is more expensive in Munitions than Allied sniper that is better than Sniper Hans :p if you count in Vet I'd take 25% less recieved accuracy than health regen. xD

I'm pretty sure it's like that for Balance reasons. That being the Axis main squad (Grens) is only a 4 man squad so ever shot from the Allied Sniper it effectively weakens the squad by a quarter.

That And they are expensive for Spam reasons.

Since when is the Axis sniper more expensive?
Also, I'd rather take a heavy support sniper than a cheap one.
The balance is made that way; allied snipers are sort of assassins, axis have smaller, more expensive squads, and the allied sniper is harder to hit, making it perfect for sniper duels.
Axis sniper is made as a support gunner, having a superior gun (G43 sniper rifle), lower turn time and vet buffs geared to surviving infantry attacks.
Health regen, damage resistance, higher fire rate (.6 cooldown);
Increasing it's effective firerate and as such DPS by 66%.
With a vet 3 sniper, this is still possible:

Actually a vet 3 axis sniper in this game only gets 25% off cooldown, which is total and utter shit. Unless they changed the value from what the tooltip says.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

they both have their uses. It all depends on how you play.

Allied Sniper: 560 MP, 300 MU
Axis  Sniper: 520 MP, 300 MU

Soo...those who said allies sniper is cheaper, you're incorrect.

Not sure how much veterancy has been changed for snipers but they're pretty damn good for both.

Allied:
vet 1 - 1.2 sight, 0.8 rec acc
vet 2 - conceal radius -1, rec supp .75, rec dmg .85
vet 3 - range 1.15, dmg 1.5

Axis:
vet 1 - Health regen (10.56/min)
vet 2 - max health 1.2, rec supp 0.5
vet 3 - cool down 0.6

so it looks like the axis sniper is better to use moving with your trooops and the allied sniper best to use behind your troops.

Other Stats, only listing things that are different, everything else is equal.

American Sniper:

Dmg 65
Reload 3
Cooldown 7.5-6
Wind Down 1.3
Reload Freq 5
Tracking vert 25-40
speed vert 45
speed horiz 135

Werhrmarcht Sniper

Dmg 45
Reload 2
cooldown 7.5-5.5
Wind down 0
Reload Freq - 10-10
Tracking Vert 40-40
Speed Vert 90
speed horiz 360

(i have no idea what the tracking and speeds mean, anyone else know)

so it seems like you get a lot more shots off in the same amount of time with axis sniper (which in game is def true) than with the allied sniper but you get a better chance of a kill with allied sniper, which makes sense because axis infantry have higher health than allied infantry (also, they get more health buffs as well as they vet)

so...now that we have the stats, you can argue more effectively.
