Forum search only turned up one hit inside a treadbreaker thread, so, here's a thread dedicated to it.

Is self destruct for vehicles coming back in?

And if it is coming back in, can we have a toggle on/off for it for those people who like to accidentally click on self destruct?

It sucks to have a 12 pop, immobilised, main gun destroyed, engine destroyed tank sitting on the map the whole game  Cry

Right now, i use it as a tactic. Destroyed gun and immobilized at the corner of a map. I let it be

It will be making a comeback, and I believe we also going to be implementing a system like the heavy weapons where you will self-destruct, but a tank crew will retreat to save experience.  I think.  Tongue

retreating tank crews is a great idea if it stops people from wanking around with their ace

i wonder if you'll be implimenting that w hen crews run off, they destroy their weapons, would make sense seeing as you can just run 'em off and recrew it later, although u can't keep the xp

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Maybe there will be some sort of upgrade that you put on units that allows them to capture vehicles!

I rather not, I wouldn't like to have tanks being "recrewed" in mid-battle...

After seeing the first post I was about to say "No, they should abandon it!", but then apparently that's what's happening! I think crew should have some small chance of bailing even when vehicles are destroyed, especially open-topped vehicles like Bren carriers and HTs. Even tanks, I think, should from time to time spawn 1-2 tank crew. It's shouldn't be uncommon for crew to bail out before the tank brews up...

It could be better if you could abandon the tank at all times, like when its immobilized, or engine damaged. But you cant have this without the ability of the enemies to take over the tank.
