What other hobbies (besides say, traveling) let you chat with people from around the world like gaming does? It's really funny, through Project Reality and EiRR I can say I have plenty of friends from Sweden, Poland (During one PR Tourney there were so many Pollocks on the MEC team that they had their own platoon!) , the UK, and Germany. It's really neat seeing inside of other peoples cultures through something as casual as small chat before or after a game. I found out that brits and their tea is no stereo type as I've heard many a time from British players "Gotta put the kettle on for some tea brb." My girlfriend actually gets a kick out of hearing people with different accents while I play. I just think it's really cool meeting so many different people, playing a 3v3 and managing to have each person be from a different country is just amazing.

Im right there with ya Riki, I get the arguement 'Using a computer is anti-social' thrown in my direction all the time, especially in reference to watching TV.  Sitting there, drooling, watching TV doesnt seem social to me Wink

I get the accent thing from my gf too ;p
I had the whole comp going through the projector, and audio through the stereo - and my gf had a bunch of friends around.  They had a great laugh at the accents (We had puddin, Dr Nick, crono and Chaos in the channel at that time I think..)

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I used to play music but now that I'm at college I found myself lacking time to continue with it.
Still play some sports occasionally, soccer being great with a group of friends.

PR is a poor mans ArmA.

I used to play it all the time but it is full of chomping children and walts.

Until you realise you can get a proper team play atmosphere on ArmA with that group.

lol, dang, you guys know we have had several threads about project reality, and as much as I don't mind it's getting advertised around these parts, lets keep the thread on track. I have to agree being in a band has let me meet a lot of cool people as well, but I have tons of friends in bands too, so I don't currently have to be in one to take advantage of meeting new people that way =P
