You could use it to block tanks.

That would fall under the category of extremely annoying...

Make a list of people who do.

Mortar Halftracks are already using the incendiary rounds as a second ability, they don't need more.

But if they Smoke rounds were 65 munitions(ball park figure) and the Incin rounds were 65 munitions, fully equipping a Mortar HT would be costly. Personally i prefer Smoke over Incin rounds. it's just plain better

Guys.. mortar smoke is a underused mechanic, it shouldnt cost something cause it demands a lot of factors to add up right to have the wanted effect. I dont believe it should have a cost, if it proves very good just give it a decent recharge.

Negative. Mortar HTs are powerful enough as is. A rechargeable innate ability that they don't even get in vanilla would make them far more useful for their cost. Unless you'd be okay for increasing the cost of the Mortar Halftrack all together in exchange for a rechargeable smoke barrage.. then I'd say okay.

I'm telling you give a smoke barrage call in to vampire half tracks. Make a not incredibly useful unit an ability that will actually make people considering using it. Well it's not that the VHT isn't useful, but it just sits there. So having it sit there, move move around for smoke would just make bringing the unit on more fun, give it an off map smoke ability for like 25-30 munitions with a 3 minute cool down or something along those lines. I just simply don't think the mortar HT needs smoke, even if you are going to make it cost as much as incendiary rounds.

Why not a full creeping smoke barrage?
For 50 mun
3 minutes cooldown, unlimited uses.
Could be awesome!

i dont think it needs to be a creeping barrage, but maybe a smoke barrage the size of an officers mortar barrage.
