But wouldn't it make just as much sense to simply buy ToV, since it unlocks all the armies?

Well to someone that doesn't own any of them.. they can buy all 3 for $10 more than you buying a single expansion... or..  $70 less than you spent in past years buying them all on the spot.

It's quite normal that games decrease in value over time.

In addition, who cares anyway? You've likely been playing it for the last 2 - 3 years so it will have been worth the money.
I know it was for me, COH is the only RTS that I have ever played 'consistently' over such long timeframe. You're always welcome to wait 3 years after the release of an original game to get it all cheap, be my guest.

(Just like you can wait 3 years for the shoes you really want to be really cheap but who's going to do that?)

CoH is the game I've put the most time into besides Starcraft/Brood War. It's been hella fun so far, I just don't know if a few new game modes is worth it.

Also the new units being "replaceables" just makes me shudder at how they seem like "buy victory with your wallet"...

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

ToV is a nogo for me atm. I don't want to spend so much money for so few content.

I think I will try Men of War. I liked the demo and i played the very first game of the series (well the demo at least Tongue )and I find the coop mode especially nice.

Yeah I torrented MoW and tried it. It's really quite awesome aside for a few bugs it had, but I'm sure they'll be mended. I'll probably buy it a month or so down the road.

3 Games that stayed with me are BF2 for Project Reality, CoH because of EiR, and TF2. Other then that I moved through games as soon as I got a new one.

Reason to buy ToV? Because if you don't, there's no way of being competetive on the fucking "Classic automatch" ladder?

stonewall is easy once you realise its all about blobbing.

I failed the first time because i tried to defend multiple sectors with a balance of units like in the carentan level of normandy campaign.

But no, stonewall is just another blobfest.

First time i played stonewall i got more points then all my partners combined, even though the last 20 mins all i had was 3 engies running around repairing my partners tanks. Then they got wiped out and i took out 2 panthers and a tiger by running around buildings firing running away again etc etc before the final wave where the tiger 1 hit my 2 rifle squads with zooka's Sad

i tried having balanced units when playing stonewall and i thought it was doing fine, barred rifles thinking i could pick up schrecks, only 1 dropped... ever. i had an MG and eventually an AT gun.. then I look at the guy who seems to be doing the best.. all he has are like 10 ranger squads. and have you tried using a puma as axis? oh my god, I don't know what they did. But I started off with a bike and puma and it took like 5 minutes no joke just to kill a ranger squad that was moving between green and yellow cover. but later waves the puma was killing them fine. Doesn't make any sense.

Yea I made that mistake as well, going puma, fucked me up for the rest of the game as I wasn't collecting any precious MP. M8s on the other hand are pure pwn, just spam m8 mines as you got nothing else to spend munitions on anyway.

my pumas tend to rape, just get the upgun :S.

I mean, on my second game, my puma survived right up until I suicided it so I had enough pop for a tiger(2 P4s and Panther with it took up too much Sad).

Pumas are still OP but Kangaroos with PIATs inside work well... until the ATHT comes along.

Stonewall depends on your teammates, and since I don't have anyone to play with I have to play with random blokes on the internet, and that never works really well.
