The new t17 is a nice middle finger to the PE players. No more IHT's and Pgren blobs, at least until the unit gets nerfed, but I can't complain, can't complain at all.

+1, and for the Wher when it gets vet 1 is even worse, at least with the PE you can treadbreak it :/.

Great fun, the new PAKs rape it though.

Good luck trying to kill a vet 1 t17 with a pak.

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly;
You buy ToV, and get better performing units than when you wouldn't have bought it?

Not entirely true although some TOV units need some tweaking yes.

there a a few new units that replace these for vCoh or OF. the m17 f.e. replaces the m8. its optional of course, but who wouldnt if the new stuff is that badass.

EDIT: let me be more precise. its not that the new units are op per se. they just seem to be much easier to handle. i liked to use the crom f.e. when i played brits in 1v1. but you had at least to have some skill to get it out early, otherwise it was quite useless. for nearly the same price i can get two kangoos, put all my stuff in there and do some happy raping with my new blob on wheels (or rather tracks). same with the m8. i might still use it despite its overall inferior performance because of the mines. but using them effectively needs some skill again. dont get me wrong here. i have no prob with rather micro intensive units, in fact i like them far better. what pisses me of is the noob buff that TOV introduced.

I gotta say, it seems like the Allied units were much less thought out than the Axis ones.  The Axis ToV units improve on a specific point that may or may not help you depending on how you play.

For instance:

Hotchkiss - Solves a problem that PE has with non-doctrine heavy artillery, however it's a stopgap measure, being the weakest available.  However, it replaces the PzIV-IS, which has a much better anti-infantry capacity than the Hotchkiss.  It's a fair trade, and you can win with either one.

versus

T17 - Takes the M8, makes it fire faster, able to stun enemy vehicles, but you lose the ability to place mines.  Not at all balanced IMO, and everyone will take the T17 over the M8 in competitive matches.

The t17 is certainly better than the m10, but I did notice it dies faster than an m10 with armored skirts, and it is worse against light armor than the m10. Of course most people get the m10 to deal with infantry, and the t17 is much much better against infantry than the m10.

m10 is the tank destroyer having no relation to the T17.
M8 is the one you meant, and frankly - both are as good vs light armor. Plus, the T17 can stun it's target.

The t17 has 175 health, skirted greyhound has 300... Vanilla greyhound < T17, though.

One stupid thing tho

If you go blitz and get assault, and you use it on units inside a building.
Your soldiers have an big  change of getting to close to the building and stunning them self instead

You need to pay for the skirts.... the t17 gets a "free" 100% HP bonus at vet 1.

I prefer mines and .50s, The T17 has yet to win me over.

The Staghound has however, the CCT may be more useful in the long run but the Stag has the ability to pop in and out where the Stuarts just could not and finish off pretty much anything with the .50 blatting away giving me some more options of suppression.

To be honest, I would have preferred if relic put more effort into making a Humber or Daimler armoured car in place of the Stag and perhaps bring in the Mk VI for the lulz in place of the Stuart. Oh, and imagine the Dingo as an option instead of the Bren Carrier:

The Germans in Greek
Are sadly to seek;
Not five in five score,
But ninety-five more;
All, save only Hermann,
And Hermann's a German.

I just got accused of hacking a guy, he could barely speak English and he was throwing accusations around like Condoms at a youth support centre.

I was in a game so he got the polite response of "Fuck off soppy tart".
