Just curious if anyone has played this I always wondered if it was worth DLing, or if Darkest Hour and Mare Nostrum were better. It's all realistic inspired WWII mods.

I play it. It's very well-made.
In comparison the DH...
It has a much bigger focus on small-scale combat than DH. You won't find weapons above platoon level in this game. Due to the small community, people actually take the time to coordinate attacks and defenses...it's a bit unnerving to see seven people huddled together, listening to the sergeant's orders. Of course, this is also dependent on the time of day.
There are currently only four weapons per side; the devs are planning to add more as time goes by. The Americans have the M1911A1, M1 Garand, M1A1 Thompson, and M1919 MMG. The Germans have the Walther P38, Kar98, MP40, and the MG42 LMG. For the small arms, three aim modes exist; hip, iron sights, and zoom. Unlike DH, zoom mode and iron sights actually zoom the screen (duh) to compensate for the smaller screen resolution in comparison to real life. There are no vehicles, it's an infantry simulation.
Squad combat and tactical movement are more important in RNL than DH. The game forces you into a squad when you pick a side. Objectives are not easily available; you have to pull out a map (M) in order to see what you are supposed to do. Furthermore, the position of your teammates is not readily apparent, only the location of your squad leader is visible on your map. Straying too far from your squad for too long lowers morale, and impairs your ability to aim.
Combat is different. Suppression is amazing in this game, getting shot with even a bolt-action rifle at is a very serious business. The American rifleman has a
massive
advantage over his German counterpart due to his Garand's ROF, and the resulting suppression. The German MP40 is crazy accurate (deadly in even unskilled hands), the Thompson is nearly unusable for newbs, but is very powerful once you get used to it. Due to the limitation of the Source engine, the devs couldn't accurately model the pushback of a MG, so they decided to increase recoil; trying to accurately fire more than a 4-round burst requires a significant amount of skill. You won't find DH's laser-MG42 here.
Don't try clearing a house with the Kar98; it doesn't work. Use the MP40, or your Luger sidearm. Friendly Fire is also very dangerous, always keep yourself IDed if you can help it, ID unknown soldiers before you shoot, etc...
I've tried angling the draw distance by looking left and right, but the devs seem to have fixed that particular quirk of the draw distance. For me, that's a very big plus over DH.
In terms of realism, I'd say that it's much more realistic than DH, which tends to suffer from selectiveness and bigger game engine limitations.
DH has more content, and has bigger firefights. I'd say to just try both games, they are free. Both mods should be adding additional content in a few weeks, I think; DH is working on revamped Stugs, King Tigers, Stuarts, 76mm Shermans, and tank ammo types. RNL is working on BARs, Gewehrs, and other such small arms.

oh that sounds awesome, I am more into squad combat, because well it's more team oriented and needs more teamwork then typical RO because people just want vehicles and stuff. Sounds like infantry only Project Reality in WWII heh. I wish I didn't lose my BF2 disk so I could play PR, so I'm trying to find something that isn't TF2 to play for FPS.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

With the exception of kill-the-boss & special setting stages... you can effectively complete the entire call of duty series without firing a single shot as long as you can survive.
I find that a majorly game breaking mechanic and totally unrealistic experience as well as un-fulfilling and overly easy to accomplish.
Go play Brother in Arms, the first one. Its pretty good.

Tried this, didn't like it. The movement feels like you're playing a drunk soldier with a wooden leg.

^ <- Fuck yes! Atlast someone who agrees
In reel life, you don't move your arms, you move your body when you aim.
You have the stock at your shoulders and then move with it there, if an enemy comes you take aim.
I got real life Kar98 and i been training military with it also (fuck M16, it cant kill a jack shit)
I hate this mod due they are just a group of players trying to make a game with out a clue how its in real life and then call it a "realistic" mod
Fucking hell
