This is actually a good idea. Forcing people to create, use, and play two companies on both the Allied and Axis side would definitely help out balance. A moment...

Bit of an old and slightly off-topic quote -

Yes, Wehrmacht was always just as good as US. Their MG play coupled with some simple wire could completely shut a US player down in the early game, I've done it and occasionally had it done to me. Even the best players can't always beat well-used Machine Guns with a bit of support on their side.

As for the "Make US more desirable to play", it'd be nice if you didn't keep taking ideas that were meant for US like Fall-Cloak 57mm and giving them to other factions like British.

Another note:

American MG damage is exactly 2 DPS faster than Wehr DPS at long range. At medium and short range, Wehr DPS is actually higher, by .9 and 7 respectively.

MG42 doesn't do more suppression per shot, or more damage per shot, it just shoots three times faster.

Short-term or long-term DPS, the MG42 deals more damage. Unless you want to do long-range long-term DPS for the MG42/.30 cal, in which case you can see the difference in the above table.

FUCK. Forgot to take into account the target table. .30 cal HMG has a 1.0 modifier against Infantry targets, while MG42 has a .75 modifier. You are correct, if for a different reason than what you said.

Which is countered by the fact that allied squads are larger, and the MG42 gets a 25% additional accuracy bonus vs 6 men rifle squads compared to 30cal shooting at a 4 men grenadier squad.

I'm not going to bother arguing over whether or not .30 gets more benefit out of less reloads or not, it's not worth my time and is really off-topic to the thread because sustained DPS is of little concern, attacks rarely last an entire minute, much less longer, where the MG42's terrible amount of reloading becomes an issue.

I don't think other changes are needed right now. Allies were fine, and i mean, you already have your new Pak that doesn't move.

Relic did a good job on balancing Wehr and US, the real problem lies in PE and Brit.

I fear that you are overdoing it with Wehr and US.

How about all of you that scream the other side is OP actually play the other side for a little while. Then you would actually(or hopefully) know what you are talking about instead of being fanboy-ish.
