IMO Men of War would be way better platform for this mod.

I suggested the same thing - models/units are so easy to add in / edit, and can be collated at the end of a battle for survivors etc.
I looked into it as a replacement for COH in April when the mod was borked by the patch.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

The problem with man o war is it's too detailed.
Imagine EiR where you have 20 soldiers and you have to worry about each guy's helmet getting shot off and his bullets ran out and the micro would double the learning curve.

If I get shot and it's a gay medic fixing me up, he's not gonna be fondling my balls while he does it. You can't patch a chest wound and suck a cock at the same time.

I like both games, but I prefer the CoH engine.

For those interested in either helping develop or playing this mod, I have created a forum for it:
http://forum.medpackstudios.com/viewforum.php?f=29
It's a little bare at the moment, but I just created it.
I could use some additional help with RGD editing, because it takes time away from my SCAR coding. If anybody else is interested in helping, whether it is art, advice/knowledge - let me know!

Things are moving along quite well, but we are looking for some more talent in the following areas:
- PHP/MySQL
- RGD/Testing
- UI Art and/or models/model mixing
If you are interested and are 21 or older, please contact me.
Also, I know the forums are relatively empty, but any and all input is welcome there. I'll be posting some new information as far as our direction and progress in the News and Announcements forum.

Mmm. . . Realism. I like realism in gameplay, in tactics, design. You have some good ideas for your mod. I'd like to find out more about your mod; I went to your fourm, but there no posts! Any updates? I may be interested in helping you out, but I don't have any experience working on mods or programming--I can work with programs like Photoshop, Paintshop, and Gimp, and I have a degree in History. Let me know if you are interested.

We have more ideas where those came from! Most of the posts so far have been internal within the development team, but everyone is more than welcome to start discussions! We will be more than happy to answer questions, talk history, tactics, etc. in the general forums. I've been writing up a development update that focuses on our goals and ideas, which will be posted in News and Announcements soon.
But, progress is good, we've been able to achieve some of our goals early and everything seems to be falling together nicely. All we really need at this point are modelers and skin artists, as we plan on adding as many vehicles as possible to our inventory, now that the OE and related tutorials are out.
Also, we have decided on a name and I'm sure you guys will like it when I mention it in my update.

Sweet man! I didn't realize the OE was finally out and usable. This will be good for all mods!

Also, we will be hosting a Community Model Repository at some point; any models that are made for us will be shared with the community, as I really don't believe in "exclusive" property, especially since the models are of WWII vehicles. Authors will get their due credit and what not, but anyone is free to use them in their mod. That's the goal, anyways. I got the idea from the Doom community, which has a repository for monsters and other custom content.

no you dont
I have to agree on this synopsis of Men of War.
It's an awesome concept, but it was poorly implemented.
In my opinion, games that give you >10 units to command and then expect you to micromanage every one of them become tedious.

Indeed!
Feel free to leave any feedback, suggestions, ideas, etc. in our forums. Some of the team members don't visit the EIR forums and wouldn't be able to reply here. I know our forums are relatively empty, but we *are* there.
Also, someone at RN told me that the name has already been taken, so I suppose I should mention it here, too: Sturmhaubitze and I have joined forces.

Your forum is hosted by the most retarde site I've ever heard of. I'm 20 years old and I must have my guardian sign something then mail it in? So much fail so early isn't good.

I must have had COPPA selected when I updated the phpBB recently, but that shouldn't have been an issue unless you're 13 or younger...
I disabled it, but it sounds like you didn't read the buttons very well.
