First off, the American demo doesn't work. When I tell my engies to pit it on a building they just go inside and sit.

Second, as Wehr I seem to have problems buying goliaths, often I have plenty of munitions but the goliath is red so I cannot get it. I can provide a screen of this if needed.

And third, when you buy mines are you supposed to get 2 or 1? Because I thought I got 2 once and then never got 2 after that.

u get 1mine on pios, 2mines on engies which is crap

pios and engies should get 2mines for 40 mun

The reason why pios only get 1 mine is because they're 2 pop, in a defensive game you could effectivelly be fielding 12 pioneer squads = 12 mines. If they had double that'd be 24 mines to spam, + 12 goliaths. This was abused extensively in the past, quite a successful grieving tactic.

3 pop engineers = 8 engineer squads x 2 mines = 16.

8 pios are limit.

mines on all 8 would cost 8*40 = 320 mun (if mines would cost 40mun ofc) + your 8 goliaths (rofl) are 720 (ROFL)

so who would spend this on 8 pios? nobody.
i think its not fair giving pios only 1 mine because they have 1 pop less..u could make them more expensive.. like 40mun for 2 mines..
btw, i think about this everytime i upgrade a pio with a mine..

think like this unknown
2 pios = 4pop = 2 mines   cost: 220mp 30mun
1engie = 3pop = 2 mines   cost: 120 mp 35mun

I'd rather get engies than pios. everyone else too i guess

You meant it was used rather successfully on you lol. Pioneer w/ mines won't cause that "spam" that you think it would because now its on reinforcement mode. You need to be beaten back really badly, to allow an enemy to put mines at critical locations without you seeing it.

No, this has nothing to do with me. It's a change made by Ucross back in the very old days of EIR.
And yes, it doesn't take a genius to realise it won't work on R+.

A played axis with a guy who had like 8 goliaths on his second call in.

Each pretty much killed stuff.

2 took down a vet 3 calli

1 took out a stuart

and i wasn't watching the rest.

Mines are good the way they are now. Axis already has better 'stopping power' than the allies do without needing more mines.

PE might use some though...

Aloha it's one thing to wear a dunce cap, it's another to go around screaming "Hey guys look I got a dunce cap on!" when it comes to some balance you really ought to listen to the guys that have been here for ever. Because AmPms terror company was deadly, and even after the change to one mine it wasn't uncommon to see people with these opening call ins of all pios/engs.

Ultimate evil - 3x12 pios  defensive players starts, each with mines and golis, then TT everything and sandbag, retreat the pios and get 88s + hmgs instead. 2x Rocket arty + omniscience for ultimate lolz.

fix demos to be placeable on decrewed support weapons. Just mining them isn't enough Sad.
