This is for players who play both sides.
How many times does your sherman bounce shots from the front at low health? or simply get a damaged engine? Usually they just blow up, even from pak shots.
But how many times has your P4 gotten damaged engine, destroyed engine, main gun damaged, then bounces some shots off the front and make it away, or your stuh? Stugs dont usually do this. Even when they are at 5% vs a 57. I know it's a game mechanic that can't be fixed. But it's not just me that notices this right?
This is just for normal tanks, no doctrine tanks, because I've seen KTs and pershings bounce an incredible number of shots before.

It's not just tanks. It happens to all vehicles that hit that low percentage of health.

To be honest I've noticed Shermans bounce more shots than a P4.

yea this is for mostly all tanks that reach a 1-10% health, which is annoying because there survivability rate is pretty good unless there engine is damage.

i think that's always been a bug with VCoH so we can't really stop that bug, no matter how crap it is.
I once took 12 shots into a panther with main gun and engine destroyed with my cromwell and still didnt destroy it.
Skirts i'd think increase the chance of this happening, hence why axis tanks are most affected. I think the bug is like penetration halves or something, hence why better armoured tanks display this more often

You are confusing bounced shots with 5% bug I believe.
Shots that bounce, or do a critical damage to the tank (main gun destroyed, engine damage/destroyed, et c.) are all intended.
Shots that penetrate and have no effect are a bug.

It does seem like axis tanks do tank a huge amount of damage becaus ethey already have high health. and someties you pop 'em inthe ass and they still keep going

I know it's not something that can be fixed and is a bug, but I just wanted to see what faction people notice bounce the most. I watched a skirted stuh at 5% health bounce 5 shots from a 57 at medium range the other day.

Skirts reduce all incoming damage(except from handhelds) by 10%. Thats in addition to the 25% penetration and received damage bonus it has vs handheld AT.

But the bug has to do with penetration, not health, so the 10% reduction doesn't make them 5% bug any more than usual.
To be honest, I see this much more often on Shermans than any other tank. In all the games I've played I've only seen my Panther 5% bug twice, and my P4s about five times. Maybe it's just because of the large(er) amount of Allied armor, but I see see either Shermans or M10s 5% bug in about one in every three games.

The crit tables are identical. All tanks bug the same percentage of the time. And its not really a bug, just bad luck.

I watched a sherman croc with 15% health bounce a goliath.
He was immobilized and I drove my goliath right up against him and detonated, no noticeable damage. Heh doesn't matter though because a tank killed him later.

I've seen immobilized croc bounce 7 88mm shots in a row. Not 5% bug, bounce.
