I bleive the reason why they didn't just pour on the whole doctrine tree in from the get-go is to make sure all the Tiers are "balanced" to each other rather then, trying to mess around with tons of more variables by dumping stuff in.

I just noticed that the rank modifiers affect pp gain...

Any particular reason for this? I don't like that much, as the higher you would get in ranks, the harder it would be for you to earn PP because there aren't always high level players on. And it already takes 20 games worth of regular pp for a tier 4, or 10 games for a tier3 doctrine/advantage, so having it so that you take 2+ games to get what's normally a game's worth seems a bit wrong.

Kinda defeats the point of him being a sniper if he cant cloak... Moment the enemy sniffs him on the field, they bring in a bog standard sniper, cloak, counter snipe, win.

Though apart from that, the Commando Sniper is sounding a wee bit like old Jack Churchill...

Speaking of Churchill, what happened with the Churchill armour? I saw one used in a game recently and it's armour seemed little better than a Sherman's, which is worrying.

It was just luck if it was getting penned easily. On the opposite end of the spectrum, a Churchill that was one hit away from death managed to deflect an 88, marder, and hotchkiss hit from the front, and 2 hotchkiss hits from the rear, at which point it successfully escaped.

well he's got smoke, throws grenades and plants demo's unlike the other two snipers. You don't solo the guy, you move him with your commando's and he's meant to be a support unit much like the axis sniper is, iv'e seen a lot of axis not even cloak the axis sniper and keep him behind hmg's and grens with lmg and volks with smg's and just rape.
