People, even the devs seem to get these mixed up or forget certain things. And there are several threads where this is brought up, but none right on the topic. So just to keep things varied we ought to discuss it here, making every doctrine a little bit special. These are units that would come with the doctrine aren't Teir abilities. Making these come with the doctrine means the devs have more space for an extra teired ability. Also these special things should always be available through reinforcement packages.

US
Infantry - Ranger, Triage
Airborne - Airborne,
Armor - T17,

all 3 get M-18, but maybe only AB and armor should get it?

CW
Royal Artillery - Mortar Pit, 25 pounder emplacement
Royal Commandos - Commandos
Royal Engineers - Kangaroo, mortar pit
All three get Staghound, but maybe only... not that doesn't quite work only giving commandos the staghound, just seems OP, they already have tet and other powerful units. so this ones a bit harder.

Wher
Blitzkrieg - Stormtroopers
Terror - Geshutzwagon
Defensive - Stuka
All three get Schwimmenwagon (unarmed) this balances out with other wher doctrines, but not with allies. if each doctrine got a special ability or something that could work. I say make nebel terror only? hmm.

PE
Luftwaffe - Fallschirmjagers, luft infantry
Scorched Earth - Support Scout (Healing scout car)
Tank Destroyers - Hetzer
All three get Schwimmenwagon (armed) AND Hotchkiss both varients

Give Scorched earth hotchkiss stuka, and TD normal hotchkiss... and from what i hear, make the hotchkiss better... that thing is a joke atm =P i haven't used one, but i have no fear at all in them!

I'm just baffled.. I can't really agree.. disagree.. criticize... I will say this though...

the ToV units and their placing is meant to best fit their roles and all the ToV units are being tuned so that they offer different things, yet stay somewhat comparable. Things may change down the road but I really can't see a problem with the ToV unit placing as it is.

Have you even used the staghound? i get vet 1 every time I bring one of these on the field, .50 cal upgrade, repair upgrade. And it's worth every penny, kills any support weapon crew in no time at all. I'd probably have a bunch of vet 3 staghounds if their vet actually worked, not that we know what the vet would do anyways.

Also, scyn I'm not really trying to make any kind of point, so you are right to feel that way. But other people don't feel the same with how the units are placed. And some people are asking for some units to be tiered abilities.

Well lets start discussing! First off I really think the churchhill should be the ''signature'' free unit of the royal engineers.. not the kangaroo, imho the kanga should just be left common.
But really think about it, the churchhill really is the signature unit of the royal engineer doctrine  Smiley

Well bring me a petition with everyone's names of and where the units should be placed. - If the hotchkiss sucks, why should only scorched earth get it? if the M18 sucks, why should only armor and airborne get it? And I haven't seen or used a Staghound.. if it's overpowered point me to a thread and explain what's wrong with it and we'll look at it.
