I have no idea why or how it happens. It just does. Im in middle of games and then i time out and after a few seconds im back.

Also as most of you know by now i have trouble connecting to people. Ive tried to do this port forwarding. But I just dont get it to work... really annoying. Ive followed the steps but without success.

Anyone?

If it is just starting to happen now, its a good sign of your router starting to age. might be time for a new one.

Don't listen to icelandic and his family of 1, on his desolate rock fortress.

For me i had to reset my router every 2 days. for safety measures but i did have a problem with my wireless USB would disconnect have perfect connection and everything. I had to do something with the router page.

its gotta be the router, but i dont know enough about them to know what it is.

also dnicee told me he doesnt use wireless, so he's hardlined in.

maybe google your router with "connection issues" in the search.

Late last week my ISP was doing some hardcore fucking around. Couple of days and it passed by.

Doing a system restore because I'd fucked up my network drivers also helped.

But it was mostly the ISP. Mostly.

What kind of router do you have Dnicee?
I've got a FritzBox and I can look at the log section and can see if a user dropped due to bad WLAN connection and reconnected, or if the router had problems with the service provider and lost the connection to him, which is a good help for fault localization.

a)What was the fix for your problem with the internet?
Maybe you can post your soloution here, so that the next person don't need to create a new thread and can try to
use your way to fix it.

b)The most router have a NAT "port forwarding" feature. If people can't connect to you should open these ports:
1. Port UDP 6112
2. Port UDP 9100
3. Port UDP 9101
4. Port UDP 30260
5. Port UDP 30275
The problem is that it allows people connect to you, if you have a dude you want to connect to and haven't open
these ports you will not be able to connect to this person.

Here is a small instruction for "Hot to open ports" for your router:
