Hello Everyone.

I'm just curious about the current cross faction balance state of the mod. How do the allies rank vs the axis? How do the individual factions work balance wise vs eachother, as in brits vs PE/Wehr, US vs PE/Wehr?

I know a lot was said by people leaving the mod about balance a little while ago, have things gotten better? Smiley

Thank you in advance for any serious and well thought out answers.

balance is good, all you need is just some games and adapt to current meta game

I feel like if Smokaz and Shab met up it would be a 50/50 tossup to see which one of them robbed the other first.
Tries to convince people he's a good guy, says things like this. Scumbag Shab.

Infantry, Terror, Defensive and Royal Engineers are all good bets if you want strong companies off the bat.

RCA, Armour, Blitz and Tank Hunters can all hold themselves pretty well.

AB and Commandos suck pretty harsh, with SE being meh unless using very specific doctrines and Luftwaffles being one of those extremely finicky companies that only pay off if you exclusively know what you are doing with Falls.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Thank you for the thoughts. I read some fairly negative reviews of recent changes to the defensive doctrine, is it still viable then?

It's still perfectly viable.

Just don't use Officers to buff mainline infantry.

If you want epic mainline infantry, go top T4. Just remember to use cover to benefit from the epic buffs. Bringing an 88 or two wouldn't go a miss either.

Middle T4 is great for armour, cloaking Panthers and Ostwinds make for greater lulz.

The officer would be used for buffing arty and tanks then I suppose? Smiley.

Arty, support weapons, tanks.

The only problem is you have to use supervise, so it's in a defensive capacity. Pretty hard to engage enemy armour with a Panther when you've gotta keep it mobile and an Officer is trying to keep up.

Mid and Bottom T3 Officers can give some heavy reload bonuses out though. Panther reload goes from 7 seconds to 5.

Awright. Hm. The aura thing indeed doesnt seem too good (T3 with -5% received accuracy and damage), Is the LeIG howitzer any good? Smiley

LeIG's alright. It's pretty expensive but it'll chew up infantry given half a chance.

Works wonders if used alongside an MG, but you'd really want some form of AT lurking nearby as well, as it's a bit of a tank magnet.

One more question, does the "artillery experts" buff apply to it? It's not in the list of "artillery" in the document..

Pretty sure it doesn't apply to it, but it doesn't really need it either.

When rounds hit, Allied infantry explodes.

leigs are awesome if you know how to use them right. although i haven't used one in the new patch, but having an officer supervise it makes them pretty deadly usually gets a hit or a kill on rifles every other shell, sometimes you're lucky and get multiple kills if they are bunched up.does a little bit of damage to lighter armed units too. its worst enemy though tanks and atgs since it doesnt seem to have good dodge vs them.

but they move fast so keep them mobile and use support, use it's alt fire to shoot over hedges and buildings, and you can rack up some kills.

Have you read the patch notes? Officers don't buff accuracy or damage anymore.

Bottom T3 improves it.

It's 10%/15% by default if I recall.
