how useful are these things? i wont be able to play til tomorrow or the day after, but i unlocked it awhile ago, and one of the next games i play i want to use them. i really like the mortar crews the british have right now, the range sucks, but they wreck infantry in the open. is the mortar emplacement like the US mortar but more range?

Yes.  100 range instead of 70, less vulnerable to counter mortar.  But takes a while to setup and you can't really run away.

- invulnerable by counter mortar
- invulnerable by nebelwerfer
- invulnerable by officer barrage
- rocket barrage will not take out them
- need some stukka hits to take them out
- free healing
- very huge range

only killable by sneaky storms or boom rushes

if you play speigas as brit, he has 2 or 3 mortar emplacements very annoying

I started using them on my Brit account, they're pretty good as long as you occasionally relocate. Expect to see them bumrushed though. Definitely better than the standard Brit mortar as those are absolutely terrible as it stands right now Tongue.

None of these are actually true, but thanks for playing.

If for the three invulnerable things he meant "heavily resistant and survives", then he's right, but literally invulnerable no.

We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

People tend to forget things about mortar emplacement:

1. Captain sector aura makes huge difference in mortars emplacement survival.
2. Deploy mortar behind houses, forests and etc. In order to protect it from indirect fire as they are highly resistant to indirect fire.
3. Bring more than 1 at the same time.

ok add the word almost---> almost invulnerable
you can kill pershings with bikes (hint: insider)

- my officer barrage (i predicted that it will not kill the mortar but damage it at least a bit -> i was wrong and disappointed) did <1% damage
- you need to mortar it a whole game to damage it significantly
- it needs at least 5 direct nebel hits to be significantly damaged (since nebel spreads very rundomly you need shitloads of nebelbarrages)

all this damage above is neutralized by "free healing"

as speigas said behind houses this mortar pits can be pain in the ass
