I like the Javelin. It tooks them ages for the mod. Hopefully Company of heroes 2 is equally mod capable. That way they won;t need to spend as much time on unit concepts and such.

Not exactly modern, but is still supposivly still found in russian brigades, further prooving that ATGs can still exist on the modern battlefield.

Edit: except the 2nd "ATG" now days proboly isnt even loaded with AP rounds, used for hitting infantry only methinks.

Why do you think every single western nation stopped using anti tank guns during the cold war? While i was surprised China had been using them until at least 2005, there's no way they are that far behind in weapon development and tactics.

And you forgot to read the part were china has about 1000+ 100mm towed ATGs.

And im more than sure the yugo wars had spruts being used every now and then.

So yeah, ATGs arnt 100% removed from the worlds arsenal. Just because NATO hasn't had ATGs in 50 years doesn't mean the eastern bloc didn't either.


From a modern standpoint, yes, a Chinese brigade could have some anti tank guns, making the mod not all that unrealistic.

to be honest in a war situation various things could happen, and new technologies + new strategies come along and sometimes old things come back in different ways. Main one to note is the anti-tank rifle which got reworked into the anti-material rifle (most popular being the barrett)


who knows its possible while unlikely that atgs could make a reappearance again one day

also as the russians and chinese have been known to store surplus weaponry in a large enough war atgs could be handed out to understrength units, reserves or militia

When Railguns become capable of being deployed in field with a portable power source, I'd assume they'd take the form of ATG's before getting mounted on tanks considering anything that could power a Railgun of equivalent size to a 120mm ATG would be pretty fucking heavy.

Considering Rail guns are currently Ship mounted we don't have long to wait.

They have Anti-Artillery shell lasers on a Humvee platform for shooting down incoming projectiles.
