Korean 4v4 on RTCx2, or "Wtf Just Happened?"http://www.gamefront.com/files/21523626/Korean+4v4.7zIf you have ever stayed up way too late playing EiR, until it's pitch black outside and everyone else is asleep, you may have caught a glimpse of EiR's most reclusive and mysterious subgroup of players: the 3am EST Koreans.
Little is known about this mostly self-contained group or where they come from (we assume Korea), but what we do know is that if you are awake in these hours of the morning, and you are very lucky, they
may just appear.
You can stay up 7 nights in a row and not see them, but then suddently on a night like any other they can appear seemingly out of nowhere. Where once the launcher had only 7 people in it suddenly there are 14. In an instant they can have a 4v4 up with 7 spots full as if by magic. They appear without warning and after the game is over they will immediately vanish from the launcher as if they were never even there. The school has moved on, the feeding frenzy is over... until next time.
This replay is a rare glimpse into this chaotic and largely confusing EiR subculture. Taco and I had the chance to participate in one of their 4v4's and we were left speechless. For while it was a 4v4, it was unlike any other EiR game I have ever experienced. Gone were old fashioned notions like front lines, co-ordinated attacks, methodical pushes and retreats... instead there was only chaos. One minute you might be facing pure AT vehicles, other times massive vanilla blobs without any AT support. One second you would be fighting in the middle of the map and then be confused to notice that the enemy has infantry squads and/or tanks inexplicably running around way behind your line. Oh yeah, and the map was "Road To And From Carentan". After all was said and done and the game was over, all Taco and I could say was "...WTF just happened?"
Just watch... and you will witness the chaos.
