Pretty much impresive damage output vs infantry at least. Unless they have some negative modifiers. It almost doubles damage of tommy squad. Just compare it with regular lee enfield... wow... almost regular rifle with 6x damage.

To be honest, I'd rather have Brens for button and suppression than Boys AT, but for 50 munitions it's just about worth it.

If the price goes up without a penetration/damage boost vs. vehicles, or the efficiency goes down I fail to see the point in having them. Maybe if it was as good as a single RR, but it's not, it barely does anything to PE half-tracks and armoured cars and nothing to tanks.

And it SHOULD be good against Infantry, this isn't a Bazooka or Panzerfaust, this is a high-velocity rifle that rips through people. This is basically the forerunner of the modern .50cal sniper rifle.

Minus any type of real aiming device. There is a reason we don't use a large caliber weapon in normal firefights, they don't significantly increase firepower compared to a high rate of fire weapon. Amount of lead in the air is more important, a 7.92mm kills a man just as well as a 14mm, either way they are out of the fight.

Its a weapon with a very imperfect ironsight, with a top loading magazine. It was swapped out in almost all cases to a more effective weapon, like the M2 .50cal or even the Italian 20mm Breda when the other weapons were available.

No this gun was never any good vs infantry and you should ask the PE about its usefulness against them..

I was basing my statement on 60 damage, cooldown/reload/base_accuracy similar to common rifles...... and low scatter... which translates into -> misses often hit.

Target tabble shows that chance to hit something on long range is increadibly low. But I can say from my own usage of boys and videos... they hit and often and that is devastating.

Could it be... that even if they miss original target round can hit man behind?

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

...you should ask the PE about its usefulness against them..

I don't have to I had 3 in my company, took 2 of them out because they were useless, the other was to use up 50 spare munis.

I've taken them out completely now, it's really not worth buying. Yet another 50 wasted doctrine points. Can't be bothered to start my company again for a 3rd time.

My ideal of making a Brit Infantry company using the RE doctrines keeps getting a kick in the gut at each step. RE is now essentially an armour doctrine and nothing more. Double Bren suppression is gone, Boys AT rifle is pathetic, the only decent doctrines now are all tank based.

Maybe I should just Commando spam like all other Brit infantry players...
