idk if anyone has noticed this yet but when the assault grens lose a guy, they lose their flamethrower guy permanently for the rest of the battle. Is this intentional or something being looked at?

flamethrowers don't swap users, same as with engineers and pioneers. Also the other guys already have upgrades so if they did swap they wouldn't with these guys.
I did fix the flamerthrower death crit though, so they should last a bit better!

Can you please look at the flamethrower-IEXPLODE for engineers and pios too? Extremely bitter when my vet 3 engineers blow up retreating because of this. (Even if i retreat as the guy explodes)
Should be a very very low chance of happening, since this mod is about building up units. Imo.

Yea, engineers seem to have a really high crit rate. I've lost so many engineers to crits and losing whole squad i just dont use 'em anymore, at least not near any other infantry.

I remember when 3 full health flamer engie squads charged a single vanilla gren squad, and the gren squad instagibbed 2 of them with the flame crit on the very first volley. It was so much lol.

Game thinks STG44 is an upgrade, hence why the Assault Squad can't pick up weapons in Retail. Ergo, the flamethrower will not switch to them since they already have an upgraded weapon.

Thats because of the 1.5x damage and accuracy modifier, and the area of effect. Flamers in buildings are pretty much the most deadly weapon, an MG crew dies in about 1.5 seconds (first flame halves health, second kills all 3). Its intended, its like shooting engineers with KCH at point blank range when the engineers are in water.

Qftft, something is fucked up with engineers critics, any american players can say his engies have died exploding from full healt more than once. And please somebody like gamesguy should look at the code to find if this is another stupid thing (like engies suppression)

Ergo, the flamethrower will not switch to them since they already have an upgraded weapon Going off of what I said before (the quote) it would also appear there is a rather odd bug in EiRR that in giving Flame Engineers the ability to pick up weapons, they also may have broken their ability to transfer the flamethrower - I've noticed a lot of instant death flamer backpack explosion critting whenever the guy with the flamethrower dies and passes it to the next guy (on that next guy). Not positive they're related, but they might be. Could also be a coincidence.

could be, the next patch removes the extra crit chances off these guys, its insanely funny but not practical. when the guy holding the flamer dies he can still blow up the squad, but it won't be some random full health explosion at least
