Yeah. We need the slow abilities to balance the game and more importantly because they're in VCOH. Just because the allies can't overwhelm the axis at everything doesn't make it gay. And you're right about the button and phosphorous rounds.

The only rendition of slow in vCoH is the G43 slow, and they only added that in to give PE some flavor. We could switch that with a weaker BAR suppression ability and not skip a beat, while removing the bullshit that goes with slow (slow retreating anyone?)
If we reworked how british AT functioned, then i think it would be prudent to take alook at button, but as it stands right now, piats dont hit good players, their 57 has no AP rounds, and 17 pounders are stationary. They need a way to keep axis armor in their LOS. Untill then, dont call me biased. I got one of the better terror companies running right now, and 2 axis co. to my 1 allied. im being as impartial as I can be.
Slow is stupid, get rid of it. You cant "magically" give soldiers charlie horses and make tread gumming mud "magically" appear under tanks.

Did you play PE yet? Slow is a big aspect of the PE faction, as they have nothing to stop charging infantry, except slow. I agree that its retarded that you can slow and vet hunt retreating squads with it, that shouldnt be its purpose. It makes somewhat up for PEs lack of supression, but I could imagine it being replaced with some sort of supression fire.

that kind of sucks, it was nice being able to have CCTs/officers and such near friendly units and having them work, ah well i guess it doesn't matter, because im glad axis can't bunch around a HCT now.

I didn't want to make a new thread just for this, so I'll ask it here:
Is "double slow" really in the game? In other words, if you slow a squad twice (using 2 separate squads at the same time) does that squad go extra slow? Just wondering cause Crimson once told me that double slow actually works but I couldn't find anything on the forums about it.

What happens at that point is the 2 G43 squads start firing at an obscene rate of fire with little to no accuracy, which allows you to start suppressing stuff(even a single G43 squad is well capable of suppression after using slow). That way you can have a sort of "double slow" - but I'd suggest using it on two separate enemy squads, then concentrating on a third one to suppress it.

You can use slow multiple times on a single squad and every time you use it it makes the squad go slower, even when retreating.
