the increased suppression isn't useless - it's enough to suppress a rifle squad at long range within 7 seconds(no cover).

Yup, I've seen this happen, quite surprising when it happens, especially since they're using auto rifles like the Carbine and the Garand.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

I was personally far more surprised when my blob of 5 rifles suppressed a single volks squad before even putting it into 50 percent health... Was funny ^^.

I'm curious as to some doctrine changes. Such as comparing HEAT rounds vs AP rounds.

HEAT rounds make the tanks (keep in mind tanks include ostwin, stug, stuh, p4, panther, and tiger) better against everything, for no extra cost, and no cool down or activation.

AP rounds will only make a tank (upgun sherman, M-10, M-18) better against other vehicles, costs extra on M-18s and M-10s, and have a cool down and activation.

Not asking for doctrines to mirror each other, but it's good to make sure they are well balanced and have positives and negatives. What's a negative about HEAT rounds? Nothing really. Negative about AP rounds? You have to pay for them.

Positives and Negatives are not required. However, negatives can help balance out extremely powerful abilities like AP rounds T4 in Armor.

Heat is useful against a wide variety of things, but not NEARLY as effective as AP rounds vs Armor. A single M18 (costing 300mp, 70mu for repair and AP, and 165fu) will tear up a Panther which costs SIGNIFICANTLY more in all categories.

That's balance, one is good all the time, one is fantastic for a short period (more than enough time to kill said heavy tank).

Actually I think the doctrine re-work will bring about many changes to the passive abilities and make them more like AP rounds; that is, you will have to buy them for each unit you want them on.  HEAT rounds for example would have to be bought for each of your tanks individually rather than having them there as a passive buff.

HEAT rounds + Blitzkrieg gives P4s insane damage output. Ive noticed that with HEAT rounds the splash the tanks do is powerful enough to do a decent bit of damage. I saw infantry standing moderately close to tank die because the tank got shot by a P4.

Don't worry, it will probably be put on a Cooldown like AP rounds, but will probably last a bit longer or have shorter Cooldown.

HEAT doesnt increase the AoE Bob, just damage, units die standing next to tanks if a round hits normally.

If it does go to cooldown based, you would need to up the damage output and penetration. Right now HEAT round Blitz gets torn apart by AP round Armor. Even with Blitz you lose.

Think Bob is trying to say that the splash is more powerful with HEAT rounds, not that the AoE gets bigger.

That should go for ALL doctrine buffs then, Allied Grit? Purchase for MP, Raid assault or Zeal? Purchase with manpower or muni.

Yea it does. It'll make it so you can't spam them as much, it's one or two less infantry or upgrades but yea, very interesting.

but having blitz and stuff on certain units cost whatever would be awesome cuz then you dont have suicide stugs anymore :cough: smokaz :cough:
