Alright. I never really thought about using more than one Marder at a time - my usual AT fielded at any one time is generally 1 Marder, 1-2 Tankbusters, 0-1 50mm ATHT. I'll try that and see how it goes next time I'm stuck up against a Brit armour player.

You don't really need to give up ground with the marders, unless the crocodile is closely supported by an ATG. If he tries charging you, well.. Then just go ahead and pop lockdown - yay to 1.35 penetration .

Also, like I said, Treadbreaker works like a charm in slowing it down even more. And since you get it on a cooldown, you can keep using it throughout the game if you don't lose the ATHT. (Focus fire is pretty neat too)

Your a Scorched Earth player right?
Best tip you'll ever get as a SE player.
Place a Roadblock in front of any AT unit you have. Primarily Marders.
The Marder Lockdown in EiR provides a 0.65 rec. Accuracy bonus making you incredibly hard to hit on top of normal accuracy modifiers. Having something as large as a roadblock directly infront of a Lockdown Marder ensures that any rolled Scatters will hit the roadblock instead of you. You'll notice about an 80% reduction in shots actually hitting your Marder when locked down.
You can fashion a 3 sided square around your Marder to be super safe, but you'll still need to know when to pack it in and run away.

Ooh, that sounds nice. I love roadblocks but don't get very many opportunities to use them, so I can't wait to try that out.

yeah, its great and even may be op "The Marder Lockdown in EiR provides a 0.65 rec. Accuracy". Once my marder have a time to kill a sherman in lockdown, then drive away under fire of atg. What about vehicle cover? Its applying too?

No. The firing point compensates for it. You'll never hit your own roadblock if you're directly behind it, that's true of all weapons.
Squads Panzerschrek splashing their own garrison is another thing all together.

Actually, brn, you can indeed hit your own roadblock, even if you're directly behind it. Same way panzershreks hit their own cover, or house(very rare)

If the Marder is directly behind and against the Roadblock they should never hit, the point of origin for the projectile is well above the roadblock.

Rangers supported by 2 atgs and a mortar works well. Use the mortar to clear the falls cover and decloak as well as damage them.

You were doing it wrong, that is a terrible grouping of units...you have 1 piece of AT (real AT) and a Stuart which is only good vs other LV/HT's.
Where was your officer? Why no Cpt? Why did you waste the canister on the Stuart when the HMG can suppress fine? Why don't you have grenades instead of Stens?
I would say it was a bad choice of units and a weak position. He could have cleared it with just the PAK and the P4.

i had grenades on the mandos. i used the stuart before he reached my hmg. and i did rely on my allies as i was facing only a bit of kch my original plan was to ambush canister run over with mandos block with sturat as p4 chases me and my allies were helping as well. we did have a ranger with zooks and another at gun but was on a deffirent road just incase. point being i attempted to kill them i got them low on health but it seemed like PP and medkits healed more damage then i was dealing. and i did have a commando officer he didnt live very long due to kch just lolzing through my mandos and killing him first. yes he was out of the way.

Replace Stuart with Staghound, maybe swap one Mando for Piats, gives you some solid AT + hard AI. Captain would give you an offmap that lets you destroy any hardpoint.

I mostly agree with ampm, except for this huge glaring problem, we are talking about oaks leaves here buddy, probably with some doctrine buffs, an mg aint going to do shit to suppress them!
