I'm not sure that I'm upset over the nerfing of hte LEIG 18, but I personally don't find them to be as useful as they were before. They are excellent against infantry, but I don't see how it's worth the tier 3 anymore. That's more of a personal preference issue, however.

I've been told the LeIG is being looked into.
Whether or not it becomes dual purpose or better at its "primary purpose" remains to be seen. However, at least it's being looked at. Hopefully by people that know what they are doing with balance.

LEIG 18, should be used more for buildigs, aiming the LEIG 18 was a pain in the ass. SIG33 was way better at aiming than the LEIG 18, the SIG was also used as an Anti tank wepon.
Make LEIG better vs buildings, have an smaler fire angle, more like the at halftrack.

I would also like to see the le.ig 18 gain access to a smoke shell (mortar style but same tragectory as the standard shot, single or double shot but a nice big plume), as it is for infantry support it makes sense (even if its like a 15 muni purchase to shoot the smoke shell) That alone would vastly improve its usage

Problem, for the price, Mortar would still be a better option and not cost a Tier choice.

How about: For 40mp, 15 mun you can add extra crew, making it 6man gun for no extra pop. This would change the roll a bit. Also one time use rapid fire, that gives it 150% higher attack spead but 50% less accurate. The problem isn't with survivability. It's with the gun being inconsistent versus the thing it's meant to counter (infantry).

how about giving leig higher aoe but lower damage. like around 70 dmg instead of 100 but it will do more damage on a wider path. it still one hits the majority of allied infantry and the splash will do significant damage.

Why not just get rid of the unit altogether....... All problems solved.
This mod is difficult to balance as it is. Why do we add even more units to bitch and complain about? Now the Dev's need to waste time balancing a new unit instead of fixing the current issues at hand.
Just my thoughts.
