Use mortar? Use longer range MG42 to suppress them first? Use Assault? Come from multiple direction?

I've never found BAR SF to be the the thing that stops my assault.

That has more to do with the issue of PGrens cost/firepower/HP ratio though.

As in, they got brought in line for cost and armor/HP, but not in damage dealing.

to people who say, that is very rare that they supress more than 1 unit. Then you wont have problem with bar supressing only 1 unit, since even now it only happens very rare as u claim  Roll Eyes

I actually agree that the BAR SF is fine as is. It makes up for the .30cal and lack of LMG's and Nebel.

lack of nebel is usually easly overcomed with far superior arty allies have.
and I dont get why is .30 cal so 'bad' comapred to mg42,I had multiple occasion where single burst from .30 cal insta supresses all my troops, not to mention, that in singe burst it would take quite a bit of health of troops for an mg.

nug, your going a bit over the top. Stop just throwing absurd scenarios into the equation and expect people to take them at face value. Just present an argue with merits in and of itself and be done...p

If anyone was throwing absurd scenarios it was Pony.

Also, try and avoid the quote/rebut style of argumentation. It becomes quite annoying after a while.

I like it

.30cal suppresses in about 2 bursts compared to 1 mg42 , 90% of axis inf gets suppressed in that time.

lmg is a damage dealer and not suppresser

nebel is arty so that is a bad example.

30 cal has a lot shorter range, the suppression is the same. 30 cals are supposed to be worse than the mg43. G43s are supposed to be used in long/medium range and cover. And one well managed mg is usually enough to counter several riflemen, two is more than enough. Plus what ampm said, when they use SF they can't hit anything so just stay in cover.

A major part of playing axis is to wire heavy cover so you always have the upper hand. Yet, so few players actually do this.

No I'm not proposing that you use more units. I'm proposing that you use combined arms and cover instead of just mp44/flamer blobs.

I would say an increase to the time it takes to pin units with SF would be a good fix but after a while you just learn how to deal with them, something you apparently never got around to.

Still Pony you cannot understand one simple thing (or do not want)

Yet, the point stands, that within the EIR environment the ability to do so much with one click of a button is a bit too much

Smurfornot, No ,that makes no sense. Stop noob-trolling.

It's one click to move to cover, it's two clicks to throw a grenade or assault or rifle gren smoke or covering fire or to set up an mg and those are all counters to SF. Maybe it could be changed so that it works more like assault, so that you actually have to target a unit first? But I still think they should keep the ability to suppress more than one squad, 'cause it's a blob counter, like assault. They can still only suppress one squad time at a time and they suppress slowly, so it usually takes a while before they can switch targets efficiently, depending on cover ofc.

This is why you don't understand.
And smurfornot is not trolling, he is right.

The only one that is noob-trolling in this thread is you.

*shrugs*  I dunno, I kinda thought that SF was easy to counter considering most people have Tanks, Mortars, and the whatnot in this game. I thought having one BAR'd Rifle squad to supress an entire blob was the point of it in the first place.

You can switch targets while SF is on suppressing multiple targets which are not blobbed

meaning if there are 4 volks for example coming from 4 sides at your rifles

You can suppress all of them by simply targeting them.

Why do you have 4 Volks squad on the field? I think you need to be re-evaluating your company if you have Volks in them.

But its not quite that easy, and at least one volks squad will be able to maul you before you get them all suppressed

In fact, they're better than the WM grenadier rifle by about 17% with a very minor 4% inferiority at long range.

did you watch my video in the g43 thread?  on long range the damage at the end of the fight done by g43 and kar was the same.
